Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla pilots Axiom-4 mission; Ex-ISRO chief sends best wishes

Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala), June 25, 2025, (ANI): On launch of Axiom 4 Mission piloted by IAF's Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla, Former ISRO Scientist and Padma Bhushan Nambi Narayanan says, “Shukla is representing India and he is the pilot of the mission…and totally the four other astronauts are going to leave in another 15 minutes to a long journey of about 24 hours and tomorrow evening our time 4’o clock they will be locking with the International Space Station. Originally this mission was planned for My 29th and first it got postponed due to weather conditions, then second time it was postponed due to a leak in the liquid oxygen line for the engine…there were some new drag in the space craft, engine is same…Now totally about some experiments are planned and Shukla will be doing some six experiments and also one of the experiment probably in touch with the earth and maybe he will talking to the Prime Minister of India…All I want to say is wish him good luck and a safe and happy journey”

00:00So finally, the launch is taking place to the International Space Station.

00:09Shukla is representing India and he is a pilot of the mission.

00:17Of course, there are some more members, three more, one from USA and another one from Holland

00:27and then third one is from Hungary.

00:34So totally these four astronauts are going to leave in another 15 minutes to a long journey

00:40of about 28 hours and tomorrow evening, our time, 4 o'clock, they will be locking with

00:49the International Space Station.

00:52And originally this mission was planned for May 29th and first it got postponed due to

01:01weather conditions, then second time it was postponed due to a leak in the liquid oxygen

01:09line which is for the engine.

01:15And then you know they were trying to do some repair of that and then finally it got some

01:22I think they must have changed the entire line.

01:24Now it is announced that they will be going tomorrow.

01:28Of course, there is going to be a new Dragon Spacecraft, engine is the same and in the mean

01:39while we understand that there was a leak in the Russian space, this one, there was a leak

01:48and that was also to be rectified but they didn't want to have a pressure build up in the space

01:51station so this is where the delay is.

01:57Now totally about some 30 experiments are planned and Shukla will be doing some 6 experiments and

02:06also one of the experiments he will be probably in touch with earth, maybe he will be talking

02:11to the Prime Minister of India.
