Ahli Parlimen Muar, Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman bersyukur apabila Mahkamah Rayuan Putrajaya pada Rabu, melepaskan dan membebaskannya daripada sabitan dan hukuman atas empat kes menyeleweng dana Angkatan Bersatu Anak Muda (ARMADA), tujuh tahun lalu, lapor wartawan Sinar Harian, Noor Azlida Alimin dan jurukamera, Azim Azmi.   Ia membabitkan satu kes subahat pecah amanah dana berjumlah RM1 juta, satu pertuduhan salah guna harta (RM120,000) dan dua pengubahan wang haram (AMLA) masing-masing (RM50,000). 00:00You just heard the judgment bid by the Leonard Cotterpill judge, Justice Noreen.

00:08She gave a very detailed judgment.

00:11As the counsel representing the legal team, we are grateful and obliged to the Leonard judges of Cotterpill

00:18who appreciated the arguments canvassed by us.

00:23Essentially, we canvassed two points.

00:25One, there's no prima facie case.

00:28Number two, the Leonard High Court judge did not appreciate the defense advance by YB.

00:36The High Court accepted and appreciated our submission.

00:41And what is important, I'd like to emphasize, as far as the first judge is concerned,

00:46the court said there's no evidence.

00:49The court also said there's no evidence of dishonest intention on the part of YB.

00:54That the $1 million was channeled for programs for the party.

01:01And not a single cent went to the pocket of YB.

01:04As far as the second judge is concerned, the money belongs to YB and nobody else.

01:09So there's no criminal misappropriation.

01:14And because second judge fails, other charges do not stand as well.

01:18I'd like to take this opportunity to thank YB's counsel team at the High Court.

01:25In particular, Govind Singh and Datuk Al-Bika.

01:30They conducted the case very well.

01:33And as far as the current session is concerned, the lead lawyer is Datuk Yusso.

01:38We'd like to thank him as well for his leadership and guidance.

01:42And we say, Alhamdulillah, for the decision given by the judges of the court,

01:48the bill and justice has been served.
