00:00:50Hi, honey. How's it going?
00:00:56Hey, Mom
00:00:57Do you think the sunflowers should be spread across throughout
00:01:00Or sort of gather in the center?
00:01:03Well, given that they're sunflowers
00:01:05I think front and center
00:01:07Let them command the attention they deserve
00:01:09Yes
00:01:13That's it
00:01:14I'm going to finish this in a minute
00:01:17I just got to write something down real quick
00:01:18Oh, okay. I'll finish her
00:01:20Okay
00:01:27She commanded attention
00:01:31In every room

00:02:17Just popped in to shower her with praise
00:02:19Well, good
00:02:20She's her own worst critic
00:02:22It was actually published by Tales of Ink
00:02:25You know that indie publishing house just down the street?
00:02:27Well, aren't they lucky to have such talent?
00:02:30I'm not even exaggerating when I tell you
00:02:32I could not put it down
00:02:34In fact, I'm grabbing this extra copy for my book swap
00:02:38The more readers, the better, right?
00:02:40Thank you so much
00:02:41That means a lot
00:02:42And please enjoy On The House

00:02:58So the bestseller list comes out today
00:03:03Since when do you keep track of that?
00:03:05Since I had my own horse in the race
00:03:08I think I have to win a few more races before I make it to the derby
00:03:13Number three
00:03:16Wait, what?
00:03:19Number three
00:03:20Look right here in black and white

00:03:32This is huge
00:03:33Oh, it's Janice
00:03:36Take it, take it
00:03:38Hi, Janice
00:03:39Yeah, I'm just seeing it now
00:03:41Yes, I can come in
00:03:44I can come in right now
00:03:45Sure
00:03:45Okay, yeah, I'll see you soon
00:03:47Bye
00:03:48Bye
00:04:18can you believe it honestly i'm struggling with the fact that i'm even awake right now
00:04:27i mean of course it shouldn't be a surprise based on your talent alone
00:04:31you wrote an absolutely incredible story but 20 years in this industry and i've never seen
00:04:36a splash like this for an indie author let alone a first timer which is exactly why i'm convinced
00:04:41my alarm is going to go off any second well don't wake up just yet guess who i got a call from this
00:04:47morning i don't know santa claus better meredith mckevins no from grapevine publishing that's the
00:04:56one she's eyeing you for a three book deal oh my gosh this is career altering life changing

00:05:17morning good morning emma daniel you're early today yeah i'm actually meeting janice kilner this
00:05:25morning secretly switching agents scandalous tell me everything no no juicy scandals unfortunately
00:05:32just doing janice a favor after she helped set up that initial meeting for the web series
00:05:36all right how's that going it's going it's a work in progress but we'll get there i'm sure it'll be
00:05:44great thanks so for the book tour we have you in boston chicago la kind of a coast to coast action
00:05:53yes and the kickoff for the tour will be an event here in the city sponsored by pen and paper bookstore
00:05:59it'll be a media only interview hosted by olivia winters wait the olivia winters i grew up watching
00:06:06your show with my mom yeah the queen of late night is a big fan of your book wow okay no more news
00:06:12for today my brain is about to oh great meredith mckevins just got back to me she'll be in the audience
00:06:18that evening and wants to take you out to dinner after to discuss the book deal perfect perfect
00:06:24come in morning janice oh daniel welcome grab a seat
00:06:30you must be sophie daniel burke looking forward to working together sophie wood nice to meet you
00:06:42sophie and i were just going through the details of her book tour and i was about to get to your role
00:06:47in all this just in time nice you know i'm actually surprised you two haven't met yet
00:06:53daniel's another client at the agency and he's working on a web series with uh rebel lifestyles
00:06:58if you've heard of them oh yeah yeah i've watched a lot of that content um congrats thanks and
00:07:05congratulations on the book amazing news thank you so um sophie for book tours we always hire a public
00:07:12speaking coach to help authors prepare and since daniel is a thought leader on the subject and a client
00:07:19at the agency i figured he'd be a natural fit to help with the book tour oh that won't be necessary
00:07:25honestly i'm totally good to go consider my bags packed no offense and and thank you for the offer
00:07:32yeah no problem are you sure sophie speaking prep is pretty standard my clients always rave about how
00:07:40helpful it is oh i'm sure it is um and dan has been working hard on his web series scripts
00:07:46so i was thinking maybe in return for his help with the coaching you could help him with some editing
00:07:51well actually the the scripts there oh yeah i'll totally help with the editing anytime no thank you
00:07:56but uh yeah my my friend is reviewing them for me he's a real stickler for grammar and
00:08:02words well it's uh just about one o'clock so i better go check to see if the reporters are here
00:08:11oh great yeah i should head back to the flower shop on wednesdays we ice the orchids actually they're
00:08:16here to see you sophie sorry yes i called a mini press conference as soon as we got the news this morning
00:08:22great that sounds fantastic and daniel i'd still love you to observe sure hey it'd be great to see
00:08:33one of these press conferences in case you ever need my help for any other clients great
00:08:38so these are reporters from some of the top lit magazines here to get the scoop on your book
00:08:49everyone sophie sophie everyone hi there all right if everyone can take a seat we can get started
00:08:57thank you all so much for taking the time to stop by i think i speak for both sophie and myself when i
00:09:04say that we are just blown away by the massive early success of walking on air though rare for a new
00:09:11author i can't say i'm too surprised ever since the first time i read her work i knew that sophie had a
00:09:17gift but enough for me sophie i'll let you go ahead and introduce yourself
00:09:23uh hi everyone i'm sophie oh whoops
00:09:29um sophie uh wood sophie wood i'm the uh author of the novel
00:09:37uh maybe you can uh start by telling us a bit about your writing process
00:09:47yeah uh right um yeah i've never really um done this before uh so to start i um
00:09:58i i talk to my characters not in the mirror that would be weird uh i uh i like to talk to my
00:10:08character on the um page the page i like to talk to my character
00:10:15you know i've noticed while working with sophie that her talent lies in her ability to be diligent
00:10:24without letting the rigidity of deadlines or deliverables squash her creativity
00:10:29sophie is an everyday writer who will produce draft after draft
00:10:34until she can feel it okay i'm just gonna grab okay there okay
00:10:42well uh uh thank you all for coming
00:10:47i'll uh see you at the media gala in a few weeks
00:10:52i'm sorry for springing that on you no no i'm sorry i didn't bring my a game
00:11:10not a problem but can we uh reconvene tomorrow i want to chat a bit more about the book tour since it
00:11:17it uh it is coming up fast absolutely same time if you can yes great see you soon yeah
00:11:42what was that
00:11:47hey mom when was the last time you wanted the ferns
00:12:00oh last week sometime something like that i think okay they actually weren't you for watering until this
00:12:07week so i'm gonna make a note for another watering in two weeks okay these ones are very fussy and they
00:12:12looked a bit drowned okay well the plants can wait until tomorrow to be fussed over why don't you call
00:12:19it quits and bask in the glory of your big day oh look look look great reads magazine
00:12:27wow wow yeah that was fast
00:12:33oh your father would be so happy
00:12:38he always knew his little girl would make it someday
00:12:40i have a funny feeling he pulled a couple strings from me up there
00:12:47i'm gonna get a hard copy of this tomorrow and frame it oh nice maybe you can put it over my sixth
00:12:54grade school photo oh oh look there are uh reader reviews at the bottom of this article
00:13:00oh my favorite book of the year oh this one has every color of heart emoji at the end of it
00:13:09i love that you know what emojis are oh yeah i text
00:13:22oh
00:13:32oh
00:13:41Let's go.
00:14:11so what do you think
00:14:23uh yeah yeah i mean it's obvious you've done a lot of work on this
00:14:31and um i'm not trying to be harsh in any way but uh these episodes seem a little dry
00:14:39yeah i felt that while i was writing them right they're just like missing the the the sparkle
00:14:45that makes you good at what you do well tom you think i sparkle man not in these scripts you don't
00:14:51yeah okay point taken no but seriously man i mean i know how challenging the writing process can be
00:14:56and if i could write these things for you i would but you're the expert they're paying the big bucks
00:15:00for and i'm just the young and dashingly handsome producer trying to get his own career off the
00:15:06ground well questionable okay but hear me up for a second this whole series is based on public
00:15:18speaking right and i believe that the real sparkle behind any great speaker is the ability to embrace
00:15:24spontaneity okay so what if we just send them an outline of all the key points i plan to touch on
00:15:31and then just tell them that part of my process is simply being in the moment when the camera's on
00:15:36okay believe me i would love to save us both that kind of time and sure you can embrace spontaneity
00:15:41all you want once we get into filming great but revel specifically asked us for full episode
00:15:48scripts before we can even move into production
00:15:50see if i can squeeze in another pass in the next week if i can fit it in
00:16:00the deadline's friday remember yikes
00:16:05friday's not that fast yeah it's right after thursday
00:16:11i'm sorry janice i know i messed up yesterday but
00:16:40no need to apologize to start let's just zoom out a bit and agree that no one really likes public
00:16:48speaking okay no offense none taken i know for all that enjoying it is a little bizarre
00:16:55i actually enjoy it too look i was off yesterday okay i know that but it was a fluke and it won't
00:17:05happen again i promise you have a lot riding on this interview sophie and if yesterday was
00:17:11intimidating just imagine being in the hot seat with olivia winters
00:17:15janice i can assure you that's exactly what i need assurance it's my job to set you up for success
00:17:25and i can't just sit back and let you miss out on this book deal with grapevine
00:17:29i don't say that to scare you but these big publishers want to work with writers who are not
00:17:34only talented but also capable of upholding a certain public prestige that goes along with their
00:17:40brand and if meredith mckevins decides to pull the plug on the deal because she feels you aren't ready
00:17:45it'll be really hard for us to bounce back i totally understand but i think i'm fully capable
00:17:52i know you are capable but in order to prevent any jitters from getting in the way i'm going to
00:17:59insist that you work with daniel to prepare just think of it as taking out an insurance policy on
00:18:08your dream career i was thinking maybe we can go for a business lunch talk with the coaching see
00:18:15where you're at sure a business lunch that's a great idea
00:18:22sophie hi hey
00:18:40sorry about that i didn't see you at first i thought i would just uh
00:18:47run a quick errand all good thank you for meeting with me i'm excited to dive into the coaching with
00:18:54you yeah listen daniel i don't want to underplay your qualifications i looked you up by the way
00:19:01i hope that's not weird as long as it isn't weird if i looked you up too the fact that it's not weird
00:19:07makes it weird you know sign of the times for sure but i have to say i was really impressed by your
00:19:13work i'm sure it works wonders for people who who need it oh that's the goal yeah i just um i just
00:19:21don't think i'm one of those people you know and i don't want to take time from your busy schedule and
00:19:26your scripts i'm still available for edits if you need me yeah thanks maybe down the line sure thing
00:19:33anyway um i know we just met but do i really seem like that shy of a person to you
00:19:40no not at all but effective public speaking doesn't always hinge on whether a person is shy or not
00:19:47i mean there have been plenty of outgoing people throughout history that have been terrible public
00:19:52speakers and even presidents so how about this i could do a quick assessment right here see where
00:19:58you're at and if i agree that you don't need the coaching then i'll tell janice you have my official
00:20:04stamp of approval hmm deal cool you're gonna walk us through a quick visualization shoot i left my
00:20:13crystals at home it'll only work if you take it seriously you did say you wanted to be off the hook
00:20:18didn't you okay all right we'll start by having you exhale close your eyes place your hands on my
00:20:29palms okay we'll use the interview as the example in this scenario picture yourself at pen and paper
00:20:41bookstore there's olivia winters getting ready to introduce you to a full audience you look out
00:20:48and there's meredith mcgettons taking a seat in the middle row no no no no no nope i'm terrified
00:20:54okay i despise public speaking hey let me help you i use a skill-based five-step method
00:21:01the interview's in 10 days right don't remind me the coaching won't take too long if you give it a try
00:21:08and decide it's not for you we'll part ways no hard feelings well if you help me pull this thing off
00:21:14you might just be an expert in magic by the time we're done
00:21:21hey hey welcome i didn't know this place was here it's beautiful isn't it my friend tom and i use
00:21:42it as a workspace all the time and it's entirely donation based and maintained by the artists that
00:21:46use it very cool and um why exactly am i wearing athletic gear please tell me we're not running
00:21:54don't worry running is not on the docket good i used to run every day in college but
00:21:59these days i prefer a brisk walk yeah i saw that two-time track champion at knolls college
00:22:04how did you know right well it was actually cross-country and i came in third both years but
00:22:12i like your spin on it well your time as a runner might actually help you with what we're working
00:22:17on today step one in the coaching program is breath work did you know that if you can control
00:22:23your breath you can actually trick your nervous system into calmness i did not makes sense public
00:22:30speaking and forgetting how to breathe seem to go hand in hand for me you are not alone it's very
00:22:34common oh wow this is lovely hey brother how's it going all right yoga i've been meaning to get
00:22:54into yoga so if i pull a hammy on the first try you're gonna have to carry me down four flights
00:23:00of stairs the risk is low but i got your back either way
00:23:04we're gonna start with some warm-ups big breath in
00:23:10and melt all the way down
00:23:15come on what you look like one of those inflatable tube men at a car dealership
00:23:22yeah yeah you ever notice that tube man seems like a pretty carefree guy
00:23:27he's not out there worrying about what anyone else thinks he sure isn't
00:23:31right let him inspire you commit to your inner tube man
00:23:34the singular most important thing you can do when trying to control your breath
00:23:49is to breathe from your diaphragm hmm i've heard some of my favorite pop stars talk about that
00:23:54funny i had you pegged as more of a jazz fan
00:23:57because i'm a novelist
00:23:59yeah which is a pretty bad case of stereotyping when i say it out loud
00:24:04you're probably into house music
00:24:07because i have a lot of energy and essentially make a living as a glorified hype man
00:24:12uh-huh wow well i'll have you know yeah that's exactly right
00:24:16okay dj daniel are you gonna teach me how to breathe or have i lost you to your inner dance floor
00:24:23wait for it here comes the beat drop
00:24:25boom
00:24:26all right so one hand on your chest
00:24:35level on your stomach and exhale fully
00:24:39and then simply let the air re-enter your body
00:24:42it should feel like you have a balloon inflating underneath your ribs
00:24:45in through your nose
00:24:47and out
00:24:49in through your nose
00:24:51and out
00:24:55so if i practiced real hard what's the likelihood that i end up like one of these pop stars
00:25:02well i don't know i'd see a few notes
00:25:05yes i walked right into that one didn't i
00:25:08sure did
00:25:08and out
00:25:13oh my mom needs me to cover at the flower shop for a few hours
00:25:23can we pick back up tomorrow
00:25:25sorry she's not always so good with schedules
00:25:28no worries we're just about done for today
00:25:30why don't i walk you you can wrap up quickly at the shop
00:25:33i have to head that direction anyway
00:25:35you don't mind nope i love a brisk walk myself
00:25:44there you go nice to see you
00:25:50thank you hey mom oh this is daniel the one i was telling you about yes daniel hi
00:25:56i'm evelyn nice to meet you and i'm so sorry to interrupt your session but
00:26:02i completely forgot about an appointment i had this afternoon no trouble at all it's a pleasure to
00:26:06meet you evelyn yeah yeah and oh thanks so much sophie and i'll see you later tonight
00:26:11yeah funny how you uh forgot about your appointment but you didn't forget about pasta night huh
00:26:16your mom seems awesome must have been a lot of fun growing up
00:26:29oh yeah never a dull moment
00:26:30so step two is memorization
00:26:36and it comes with some homework
00:26:39romeo and juliet these two are nothing but trouble whenever you have to speak in front of
00:26:43an audience it can always be helpful to memorize some sort of text a safety net to fall back on
00:26:48when the nerves take over so if i freak out in front of olivia and meredith i'm supposed to start
00:26:52reciting a shakespearean monologue i would pay big bucks to see that but no the monologue will be for
00:26:58step five the trial run in a few days you'll recite the monologue in front of a group of friends
00:27:03incorporating all the new skills you've learned this story stresses me out not a big romantic
00:27:09i have no problem with romance i just don't believe that love should be as hard as it's made
00:27:13out to be in stories i get that then again love can be pretty hard in real life well not if you keep
00:27:20your head on straight yeah but who's ever kept their head on straight when they've fallen in love
00:27:24me i've never totally lost my head for someone oh is it possible you've never actually been in love
00:27:33hello let me know if you need any help with anything
00:27:38okay mr uh speech and debate co-captain oh wow you did a deep dive huh i'm thorough now before we even
00:27:46get to the trial run we have to tackle step three facing your fears okay we could do that or we could
00:27:54i don't know not do that all right so i'm gonna have you write down some of your other fears and i'm
00:27:59gonna set a 20 second timer so that you can go with your gut instinct and not overthink it okay but what
00:28:04if go oh okay um
00:28:14and time
00:28:18let me see
00:28:21interesting yeah we can definitely knock off a few of these tomorrow
00:28:26you in do i have a choice oh we always have a choice to be chicken
00:28:29you did not just chicken me oh i did you let me know the time and place and i'll be there you got it
00:28:43how'd it go with the master of the stage today seemed like a nice guy
00:28:48well he's uh a character i still think it might be a waste of time but he did share with me a couple
00:28:54tips to keep in my back pocket well that's great here let me taste this
00:29:04what do you think you measured everything right yes i followed the recipe exactly yeah well this
00:29:11recipe is more of a suggestion than a than a rule right i mean a little dash of this pinch of that
00:29:20that just go with the flow cheers cheers
00:29:41oh
00:29:56hi did you really have to pick the tallest building in the neighborhood
00:30:01i think we have started with something smaller like climb a tree or check out the fire escape of a
00:30:07two-story building or see a movie that takes place on a plane well i do have to admit i did
00:30:13have a double motive for picking this place my dad actually brought me here for the first time when
00:30:17i was a kid i come back once a year to get a picture from the top for him oh where does he live
00:30:24he's upstate but he's a city guy at heart he doesn't make it out this way as much as he'd like to
00:30:28anymore well if i have to do it for dad i guess i have to do it for dad chickens first hey
00:30:50my legs are jello my legs are jello um i mean i feel brave we can go now you got this come on we're
00:30:56just gonna head over to the ledge check out the view take a picture and then we're gonna head

00:31:04almost there you got it you got this come on all right all right almost there okay and the last few
00:31:11steps are all you oh come on almost there you got it come on there you go i'm gonna count it down
00:31:21and when you look up you're gonna see the city like you've never seen it before i promise
00:31:27okay go go go all right three two one
00:31:35what
00:31:35this is like a totally different city from here incredible right
00:31:50i think that's my i think that's my first apartment over there
00:31:54my roommate was so sweet but so messy
00:31:57my high school was just past that intersection there was a pizza shop and a bakery right across
00:32:06from each other best smelling corner in the city oh yeah i recognize that area my dad's auto shop was
00:32:13there wait i know that place does he still work there oh no he passed away when i was nine
00:32:20oh i'm sorry to hear that thanks he was the best
00:32:29it's getting windy up here um i should take that picture of you yes
00:32:37okay
00:32:42got it these look great
00:32:44one more for good luck yeah come in okay oh all right all right you're good inside ready
00:33:03got it good yeah would you like to go back down to the ground yes please let's go great
00:33:14i can't you do it come on buddy you'll be fine just hit send do you really think the change has
00:33:28helped you know what i do i mean i'm sure we'll get some notes back but that's to be expected
00:33:34we can handle notes you're right and the deadline's a deadline right there's not much else we can do
00:33:39okay here we go done attaboy and now we wait and now we wait just hurry up and wait
00:33:53so now that you've uh conquered your fear of height would you water the uh plants on the top shelf up
00:34:13there very clever segue but i actually have to leave in a minute to go meet daniel at the park oh
00:34:20what's on the docket for you two today another fear challenge i just don't know the details yet
00:34:27of all the fears i listed i didn't think you were going to be able to get your hands on rollerblades
00:34:31so quickly seems like skating is really making a comeback a few of the bike rental shops in the
00:34:36city have expanded their horizons into skate rentals goes hand in hand with the 90s fashion
00:34:43speaking of the 90s that was probably the last time i put on a pair with these bad boys me too
00:34:49your horror story first and then mine well i used to be pretty good until i took a huge fall and had
00:34:56to get knee surgery oh i can spare you the show and tell unless yeah i'm good are you squeamish
00:35:03well maybe a little squeamish a little just don't want to jinx it fair your turn oh join me up here and i
00:35:11will tell you a story of young heartbreak that would make romeo and juliet look like child's play
00:35:20i bet it all started when you lost your head for a girl big time it was the sixth grade and i was
00:35:26madly in love with my girlfriend colleen shine let me guess her smile could light up a room you know it
00:35:35we dated for three months which means we talk like once a month during lunch period see that's why i
00:35:42waited to have my first boyfriend until i was a grown mature eighth grader we talked every day
00:35:48if you count passing notes in class as talking so it was the end of the year field trip
00:35:54and we were at skate town this big roller rink in jersey the lights come down disco ball starts
00:36:00to spin and my favorite r b song comes on i think i know where this is going yeah i look over at colleen
00:36:09and she's slow skating with steve sherman no not steve sherman steve sherman i was so crushed i never
00:36:18hit the rink again after that you win your emotional scar is much more gnarly than my surgery scar
00:36:26are you good i'm good i'm good so how did it end with pen pal boy well he said he wanted to take
00:36:37things off the page and meet face to face i didn't feel ready so i dumped him with a haiku
00:36:45sheesh ruthless with the pen even as a youth
00:36:56you know that wasn't that bad i might have to stick with it for the cardio yeah that was a lot
00:37:05more fun than i remember so what next matching tattoos a couple fears conquered we even had time to stop
00:37:13and reward ourselves cheers to that if we break now we can head back to the loft space and run through
00:37:19step four which is body language the goal here is to use your physicality to send a signal of confidence
00:37:35not only to the audience but to your own brain make eye contact especially if you know someone in the
00:37:41audience you could even make eye contact with meredith if you're feeling brave okay baby steps
00:37:48let's see let me try
00:37:56that's it chin up shoulders back
00:38:01that it is certainly shoulders back and chin up
00:38:08okay are you taking this seriously do you want to learn obviously all right i'm gonna come show you
00:38:13i know how to walk i can see that ready okay so feet shoulders chin and we walk that's the one
00:38:26and as corny and as corny as it might sound smile there it is
00:38:41okay don't tell me don't tell me don't tell me should i fall let it be with grace and
00:38:50grace and levity levity of spirit shoot okay let's start again
00:38:56but you were almost done can't we just pick it up from here
00:39:01no i have to get it right i have to get it perfect i'm no improviser when the heat is on
00:39:05won't you have to improvise the answers during the interview i mean you don't always know what
00:39:09questions they're going to ask regardless i'm not there yet the point is to get this monologue
00:39:14memorized and down pat so i can work on the other skills i've learned with daniel
00:39:17do you think you might be giving this silly fear of yours a little too much power
00:39:22mom i get what you're saying but it doesn't feel so silly when i'm up there in fight or flight mode
00:39:28no no i know i i don't mean to downplay it it's just that i think if you just went into it
00:39:36freely without all this build up you might find some levity of spirit
00:39:41i wish i could you can head home if you're tired but i'm gonna stay here and get this perfect
00:39:51you really are your father's daughter aren't you
00:39:55and i've always said the two of you were sent to teach me a thing or two about diligence
00:40:02so from the top okay should i fall let it be with grace and levity of spirit
00:40:12there you go
00:40:22thank you guys for coming i'm a little nervous but hey sorry for the delay tom was supposed to be here
00:40:28with the speaker in my garden oh no i guess we should reschedule how about uh never
00:40:33no no hey guys okay there he is great sorry i'm late uh hi you must be sophie
00:40:43i'm tom daniel's friend and personal tech department i paid him to add in the front bit
00:40:49well it's nice to meet you tom definitely thanks for coming through yeah absolutely feel free to
00:40:53stick around and help us fill in this little crowd we got here will do let me just get all set up and
00:40:57i'll be back out here okay testing testing ooh whoops sorry about that everyone but that's why we test
00:41:13testing testing testing sounds great whenever you're ready all yours okay okay
00:41:33testing
00:41:46testing
00:41:55i can't i can't i can't i'm sorry i
00:42:00hey folks just wanted to let everyone know about the food trucks that you'll find if you walk down
00:42:12that way yep just keep walking that way for new york's best food on wheels not here over there
00:42:20sorry man thanks
00:42:40thank you
00:42:44just doesn't make any sense
00:42:45last time i couldn't stop babbling and this time i forget how to speak entirely how am i supposed
00:42:55to fix the problem if my reaction is different every time
00:43:02i know you have it in you you work through the coaching steps just as well if not better than some
00:43:07of my strongest clients and i still failed why don't we try again later oh no i'm
00:43:15spent i get that no you don't sorry no i'm sorry i didn't mean to snap i just
00:43:24there's no way that you could possibly understand what i'm going through because you've always been a
00:43:27natural public speaking has always come naturally to me sure but i've got my own fear a big one for me
00:43:35actually writing yeah i know what you do
00:43:44i recognize that look in your eyes every time someone mentions your scripts
00:43:49some might even call it the chicken's dare
00:43:57so you caught me huh i sure did
00:44:01seriously though let me know when you get those notes back in your scripts
00:44:06i'd love to return the favor and help out and i promise to be as patient with you as you have been with me
00:44:13thank you really and i will definitely take you up on that when i hear back cool but getting back to you
00:44:27i think we can try a few more creative ways to tackle this fear that's still blocking you
00:44:31if you'll keep me on that is oh you're not jumping ship now
00:44:35good we wouldn't want to we're facing our fears
00:44:43let's go
00:44:53i know exactly when everything went downhill fourth grade science fair and it was my turn to present
00:45:00my diorama oh i forgot about those you make them out of shoe boxes right yeah
00:45:07mine was a deciduous forest scene i used the trimmings from the plants at my mom's shop to make the trees
00:45:17it had been about a month since my dad passed and i guess i was determined to prove to everyone that i was
00:45:23back to being a normal kid whatever that meant
00:45:26sure it's a lot for you to be going through at such a young age so there i was at the front of the
00:45:33room ready to go and all of a sudden my mind went blank i started getting really hot and the walls
00:45:43seemed like they were closing in on me and the next thing i know i'm sobbing uncontrollably and the
00:45:51teachers had to rush me to the bathroom no poor little sophie exactly that's the part that still
00:45:57sticks with me those teachers looking at me with such deep pity i felt pathetic
00:46:07and now that i say it out loud maybe that's the fear
00:46:11it's not so much the act of speaking in front of everyone but
00:46:15the idea that i could be perceived as weak
00:46:22yeah that's deep
00:46:27well good news you can never look weak because you're not
00:46:32right you're talented articulate self-assured beautiful beautiful huh
00:46:39sorry uh i mean you
00:46:45hey janice
00:46:50which podcast is that again
00:46:54um sure yeah i think i can make that work
00:46:57okay great yeah i'll be there thanks janice
00:47:14i'm gonna be on the tailored to the page podcast tomorrow at 9 a.m help
00:47:18is that the one where they try and imagine what fashion designers the characters in the books are
00:47:22wearing that's one segment yes my protagonist is a tightrope walker i don't know any famous
00:47:28leotard designers is that even a thing this is actually the perfect warm-up you get to work
00:47:35on your interview skills without actually having a crowd less pressure
00:47:42aren't you proud of me look at me living life on the edge all the way up here all the way it's the
00:47:49fourth floor still counts i'm facing my fears
00:47:57actually you know what there's one more fear i want to try to conquer before the podcast it wasn't
00:48:01on your list then how do you know it's a fear thought i'd have a curveball challenge handy the other
00:48:08day so i contacted a local expert in all things sophie oh
00:48:21tom hey not who i was referring to but hey tom uh sorry to interrupt but um can i steal you for a
00:48:30bit to talk about the project something sort of just um came up uh yeah definitely hey if you're
00:48:39free labor can i meet you at the flower shop oh mom's the expert of course uh yeah i'll be at the flower
00:48:46shop this evening to help her close up perfect see you then sounds good nice to see you tom likewise
00:48:52take care sophie rebel hated the script didn't they let's just say they didn't land well at all
00:49:03i'm really sorry tom i didn't think we were this far off the mark i know me either
00:49:08luckily they're gonna give us another shot all we gotta do is go in there and give them something
00:49:13totally fresh yeah yeah okay let's let's do it all right great uh let's get started with uh
00:49:22trying to focus on nailing down a brand new concept for the the pilot episode that's a good idea yeah
00:49:28if we could sell them on whatever new direction that we're heading in then we can build from there
00:49:33definitely brand new concept
00:49:41hey but what about sophie yeah she actually offered to help with the edits which
00:49:47will be great no no no i mean i think she would be a really great case study to
00:49:51focus on for the pilot episode honestly i don't know about that tom hear me out buddy
00:49:57okay revel said they wanted something more tangible less hypothetical right yeah but i think sophie's
00:50:04real-life story about overcoming her own stage fright could be really inspiring plus she's a rising name
00:50:10so by the time the series comes out audiences will already be familiar with her it's kind of a win-win on the
00:50:15publicity front
00:50:20yeah but if we were going to use her as a subject in an episode i would have wanted to ask at the
00:50:24start of the coaching all right asking midway through feels shifty and i don't want her thinking
00:50:31that i have some ulterior motive for helping her no no i i get that but you do take notes on all your
00:50:39clients right i assume you have some notes on sophie yes for my own use okay how about this we play
00:50:48around with sketching out an episode about sophie based on the notes you already have and then if
00:50:52she nails the interview and you think it's appropriate we can pitch the concept to her at that point
00:50:57fine fine but if she isn't absolutely thrilled with how this interview goes we scrap this idea and
00:51:10we're back to square one totally scrap it but for now let's just see what notes you already have
00:51:15maybe we can get a rough draft going it's worth a shot
00:51:19really you told him i'm afraid of small spaces well i admit it was a bit selfish on my part
00:51:42but um well look the closet is due for reorganization and i just thought it could be
00:51:48maybe maybe your last project in the shop before you become rich and famous all right let's not
00:51:53get too ahead of ourselves just speaking it into existence oh and um if you do get locked in there
00:52:04just be sure to scream real loud not helping see i'm perfectly fine wait what did we get traps
00:52:13we could either walk out or we can scream for evelyn which would be my vote please don't get her going
00:52:25here we go just like everything else start with the breath
00:52:33instead of focusing on the size of space try focusing on what's inside the space
00:52:39sweet aromas beautiful flowers you ready four

00:54:10wasn't so bad was it bouquet yeah i'd give it a solid eight out of ten
00:54:16not bad for a rookie i'll give you a 15 out of 10 for enduring a whole five minutes with a podcaster

00:55:47it's what i always use whenever i'm going through writer's block it helps get the creative juices flowing
00:55:55which is more romantic sunrise or sunset and why i guess i'd have to say sunset oh no no gotta write it
00:56:03down right i guess i'll have to noodle on this one when i get home then
00:56:11thank you sophie this was really thoughtful it's the least i could do

00:57:47book seriously i finished it all in one day really it's amazing it was seriously such a treat oh i almost
00:57:54forgot about our lightning round questions for later uh lightning round i don't remember that being
00:58:02part of the segment of the episodes i studied i mean listen to oh well you're gonna be the very
00:58:07first guest we try this with the producers just thought it would be a really fun way to wrap up the show
00:58:11oh um is there any sort of uh hint as as to type of questions in this lightning round
00:58:17well that would be cheating but um i promise you they're all really fun so just don't even worry
00:58:22about it yeah i'm sure okay so in just a couple moments here we will be good to go

01:01:16all right all right what happened i'll tell you later
01:01:30so i'm guessing you're not no i'm not actually sick but that microphone up there saw directly into
01:01:47my soul and it wasn't pretty huh can we go back to the loft maybe you can try to hypnotize me whatever
01:01:55we can do to fix my brain in the next 48 hours my expert advice write this off as a bump in the road
01:02:02and try and relax for the next few days good one okay i know you're still gonna practice and
01:02:08stew over it up until the big events so how about we pencil in a mandatory dinner break
01:02:14tonight for the rest and recovery coach's orders
01:02:17let me guess dear diary daniel's running late and i can't
01:02:46wait to tease him about it it's more like dear diary remind me to ask daniel if he knows any body
01:02:52doubles that can stand in for me at the interview we have tried a lot of creative techniques but
01:02:58that would definitely push us in a bold new direction thank you cheers cheers
01:03:05so what are you really writing in there just some notes for my next novel already on to the next
01:03:19one manifesting that three book deal the truth is i'd still be working on my next novel even if
01:03:26i knew i'd never get paid again why do you write
01:03:34well for one thing i love the comfort of knowing that a book has a solid beginning middle and end
01:03:41whereas real life a bit more unpredictable very true indeed right one moment you're quietly drawing up
01:03:48plots and characters between flower orders and the next you're going on tour
01:03:57but i think more than anything writing is like breathing to me like it allows me to tap into this
01:04:03power that doesn't exist for me in the real world that's exactly how i feel on stage
01:04:09like tuned all the way in or something yes
01:04:11yes and i think i want to pay it forward there were certain books and stories that
01:04:19stitched me back together when i was going through some of my darkest hours and
01:04:25the thought of being able to touch even just one person in that same way is what keeps me going
01:04:32well consider me one touched reader among many you read my book i did i did for full disclosure i
01:04:44started it with the goal of trying to get some clues into your psyche oh and what do you think what's
01:04:49the verdict the only concrete conclusion that i could come up with the world means your voice and
01:04:55your story sophie oh that's very sweet no no i'm not saying that to be sweet what i read in your book
01:05:04are the words of someone who believes in hope bravery and tenacity and wouldn't it be a shame for
01:05:12that same person to let anything stun her into silence much less a little stage fright
01:05:18i'm aware of the brutal irony yes why don't you try thinking of this book tour as just another way to
01:05:28share your words with the world because what you have to say matters sophie and nothing can take that
01:05:35from you thank you well you've certainly had a day for the books i'll give you that that is so true
01:05:55it's such a classic
01:06:01Shall we?
01:06:29Wow.
01:06:31Pulling out all the big moves.
01:06:33Feeling inspired, what can I say?
01:06:39Thank you, Daniel.
01:06:42For everything.
01:06:44Thank you for taking a chance and trusting me.
01:06:48Well, I can't really take all the credit for that.
01:06:53Janice did have to force me into it.
01:06:58And I'm glad she did.
01:06:59This song, on the other hand, I'm not so sure about.
01:07:12We're going to have to agree to disagree on that one.
01:07:15I like that move.
01:07:18What was that?
01:07:18Oh, yes, yes.
01:07:19That?
01:07:20Oh, yeah?
01:07:21That's your signature move?
01:07:22Okay, my ride should be here in two minutes.
01:07:31I meant to ask you, have you heard back on the script yet?
01:07:34Yeah, we are back at square one, unfortunately.
01:07:39Oh, no.
01:07:40I'm so sorry.
01:07:41Well, why don't you send me what you have now, and I'll see if I can help come up with some fresh story ideas.
01:07:46Yeah, I was thinking I'd send you a few examples after your interview is out of the way.
01:07:49Oh, no, just go ahead and send them tonight.
01:07:51I mean, I'll be up practicing anyway, and I'm sure a distraction will come in handy at some point.
01:07:55What about getting some rest?
01:07:57Who needs rest?
01:07:59Oh.
01:07:59That's me.
01:08:01It's just around the corner there.
01:08:03Oh, uh, here, here.
01:08:04You, uh, you take this.
01:08:05What are you going to do?
01:08:06I will be fine.
01:08:07Are you sure?
01:08:08I will be fine, I'm sure.
01:08:09Yeah, yeah.
01:08:09Well, thank you.
01:08:10All right.
01:08:10Sophie, go to bed.
01:08:12Yeah, yeah, I will.
01:08:22That's a great question, Olivia.
01:08:24Uh, no.
01:08:25Don't, don't say that.
01:08:26Just answer the question.
01:08:29Screw it over.
01:08:31Well, of course, I've always dreamt of this kind of response, and, you know, ugh!
01:08:56Don't go anywhere.
01:08:59Don't go anywhere.
01:09:01Don't go anywhere.
01:09:01Don't go anywhere.
01:09:01Don't go anywhere.
01:09:02Don't go anywhere.
01:09:02Don't go anywhere.
01:09:03Don't go anywhere.
01:09:03Don't go anywhere.
01:09:04Don't go anywhere.
01:09:05Don't go anywhere.
01:09:06Don't go anywhere.
01:09:07Don't go anywhere.
01:09:08Don't go anywhere.
01:09:09Don't go anywhere.
01:09:10Don't go anywhere.
01:09:11Don't go anywhere.
01:09:12Don't go anywhere.
01:09:13Don't go anywhere.
01:09:14Don't go anywhere.
01:09:15Don't go anywhere.
01:09:16Don't go anywhere.
01:09:17Don't go anywhere.
01:09:18Don't go anywhere.
01:09:19Don't go anywhere.
01:09:20Don't go anywhere.
01:09:21Don't go anywhere.
01:09:22Don't go anywhere.
01:09:23Don't go anywhere.
01:09:24Don't go anywhere.
01:09:25Don't go anywhere.
01:09:26I don't know.
01:09:56I don't know.
01:10:26I don't know.
01:10:36Sophie?
01:10:41It's Daniel.
01:10:46I come bearing coffees and a good luck gift.
01:10:54Um, now's not really a good time.
01:10:56Oh, you okay?
01:10:57I thought we were meeting at the loft at our usual times.
01:11:01Did you just wake up?
01:11:02Guilty as charged.
01:11:10Anything else you want to take note of?
01:11:13Is everything okay?
01:11:17So, tell me.
01:11:20What's your final hypothesis?
01:11:21Will I get through the interview tomorrow?
01:11:24Or will the most complex case you've ever encountered end in total disaster?
01:11:31Hey, Sophie.
01:11:32I didn't mean to send me the episode you were writing about me behind my back.
01:11:35Yeah.
01:11:36I figured.
01:11:37It is not what it looks like.
01:11:41We just thought that we could work-
01:11:42I didn't even want your help to begin with.
01:11:43And yet, somehow, here we are.
01:11:47Was this your plan the whole time?
01:11:49To treat me like some sort of lab rat?
01:11:51No.
01:11:51No, it's not that at all.
01:11:52Okay, Tom just thought that we-
01:11:53You know what the worst part of it is?
01:11:55I was actually starting to believe that maybe I could do it.
01:12:00Maybe I could just go out there and forget what anyone thinks.
01:12:04You can and you will.
01:12:06Look, I promise that I can explain-
01:12:07Sorry, I just don't have time for this right now.
01:12:10Wait, Sophie, wait.
01:12:11I can explain.
01:12:18Um, I don't know what's going to happen tomorrow,
01:12:21but your services will no longer be needed.
01:12:23I guess you'll have to find a new muse.
01:12:26Fine, but if I can leave you with just one last piece of advice.
01:12:30I've had my fill-on advice.
01:12:32Thanks.
01:12:48Step out of your own way.
01:12:49You might be surprised by what you find.
01:12:54Homemade lunch has arrived.
01:13:08Or, ooh, should I say brunch?
01:13:13A girl spends one day in her PJs and everyone gets on her case.
01:13:17Hey, hey, I didn't say it wasn't a cute look, did I?
01:13:19How's it going, honey?
01:13:23Just about as well as it looks.
01:13:26Looks like maybe it's time to tap out and go with the flow.
01:13:30Mom, I keep telling you-
01:13:31I know it's a cliche.
01:13:33It's not that it's cliche.
01:13:35It's that it doesn't work for me the way it works for you.
01:13:38I didn't inherit your carefree, Jean.
01:13:41Believe me, I wish I did.
01:13:43Right.
01:13:44So then your life could just be as easy breezy as mine is?
01:13:48Mm-hmm.
01:13:48Okay, no.
01:13:49I'm sorry.
01:13:50I shouldn't have said that.
01:13:51I didn't mean it.
01:13:52I know your life hasn't been easy for you.
01:13:54Not at all.
01:13:57Well, I know sometimes even if you do go with the flow,
01:14:02it doesn't mean you'll never hit choppy waters.
01:14:05Oh.
01:14:06I'll definitely be filing today under choppy.
01:14:09Mm-hmm.
01:14:10First I blow up at Daniel.
01:14:12Next I'm being testy with you.
01:14:14Not my best work.
01:14:16Hi, what happened with Daniel?
01:14:18Turns out he's writing an episode about me for his web series.
01:14:21And apparently I'm the most complex client he's ever encountered.
01:14:26Can you believe that?
01:14:28Well, actually, yeah.
01:14:31What?
01:14:31Look, the guy spent days cooking up unique and, okay,
01:14:36sometimes strange ways to help you overcome a major fear
01:14:41that's holding you back.
01:14:43So, yeah, I'd say that's pretty complex.
01:14:47Fine, but he could have at least told me about it first
01:14:50or asked for my permission to be in the episode.
01:14:53Why so sneaky?
01:14:54Yeah, that is odd.
01:14:56Did he say why he never told you?
01:14:58No.
01:14:59We didn't get to that.
01:15:03I guess I didn't let him get to that.
01:15:08Well, maybe your paths will cross again
01:15:11after this storm subsides and then you can get to the bottom
01:15:16of what his true intentions were.
01:15:18Maybe.
01:15:20But no matter what happens in the future,
01:15:23just trust yourself.
01:15:27Okay?
01:15:28You know why?
01:15:29Why?
01:15:31Because the flow rewards those who are tough enough
01:15:36to hang in there, even in the toughest currents.
01:15:40So, do yourself a favor and get a grip, will ya?
01:15:49I'm trying.
01:15:50Okay, decision time.
01:16:09Should we take a taxi, walk, or the train to Nate's party?
01:16:14Yeah, I don't think I'm going to go.
01:16:15Well, and I am sorry to spring this on you now,
01:16:22but that Sophie episode is officially off the table.
01:16:26No, no, no, no.
01:16:28What happened?
01:16:30Still trying to figure that one out.
01:16:32Oh.
01:16:34You finally asked her out and she turned you down?
01:16:37Man, I really wish you'd waited until after we found out
01:16:39about the episodes.
01:16:42Why would you think I was going to ask her?
01:16:43Hmm, where would I get a wild idea like that from?
01:16:51Okay, it may have crossed my mind a time or two,
01:16:54but our professional relationship
01:16:55has been my top priority since day one.
01:16:57Oh, yeah, of course. Totally.
01:16:58Other matters now anyway, I'm pretty sure she hates me.
01:17:02Yeah, I don't know about that.
01:17:04Okay, hate might be a strong word.
01:17:05Okay.
01:17:13Yes, you forgot your hot plate.
01:17:19And yes, I washed it.
01:17:22Oh.
01:17:23I thought you were my mom.
01:17:26Well, I do hope to be as foolish for one day.
01:17:30For the record, I'm going to bed soon.
01:17:33Yeah, no, no, I won't be long.
01:17:35I just, uh, really still wanted to give you this.
01:17:40Thanks.
01:17:42And to tell you that I'm sorry.
01:17:45Look, I was never going to produce anything
01:17:46without getting your permission.
01:17:48Tom and I were just brainstorming some ideas
01:17:50and we thought that your story,
01:17:52or even an exaggerated version of your story,
01:17:55could be a really interesting one to tell.
01:17:57I bet it would.
01:18:02I should have told you as soon as it came up,
01:18:04but I was so close to your interview,
01:18:06I didn't want to psych you out.
01:18:09Plan, obviously, backfired.
01:18:12Just a little bit.
01:18:15But, um...
01:18:18Thank you for this.
01:18:20Um...
01:18:22Really.
01:18:24I, uh...
01:18:25I should really take your advice
01:18:29and get some rest.
01:18:31Long day tomorrow, obviously.
01:18:33Absolutely.
01:18:34Uh, good luck tomorrow, Sophie.
01:18:40Good night.
01:18:40Good night.
01:18:41Good night.
01:18:55Good night.
01:18:59Good night.
01:19:00Oh, God.
01:19:30Oh, God.
01:20:00Oh, okay.
01:20:09Get a grip, won't you?
01:20:11Okay.
01:20:13Shoulders back.
01:20:15Up.
01:20:16Hands.
01:20:17Oops.
01:20:18Okay.
01:20:20What are you doing?
01:20:21Okay.
01:20:22Okay.
01:20:22Hey, do we interrupt?
01:20:33Janice!
01:20:35Hi.
01:20:36What am I interrupting?
01:20:38It looks fun.
01:20:39Oh, I was just doing the tube man.
01:20:42Just something silly to calm the nerves.
01:20:44Daniel taught me, actually.
01:20:45Oh, yes.
01:20:46Isn't he wonderful?
01:20:48He is.
01:20:49He really is.
01:20:52I'm sure you're ready to knock this thing out of the park.
01:20:54As ready as I'll ever be.
01:20:56Great.
01:20:57Well, I'm going to check in with the media partners.
01:20:58You come find me if you need me.
01:21:00Yeah.
01:21:01Sounds good.
01:21:02Oh, uh, wait.
01:21:03Um, is Olivia here yet?
01:21:05I would really love to meet her before we start.
01:21:07Yeah.
01:21:07So, here's the thing.
01:21:08Olivia's big on meeting guests for the first time during the interview.
01:21:13Oh.
01:21:14Uh, cool.
01:21:15Great.
01:21:15Yeah.
01:21:16Something about it feeling more fresh that way.
01:21:19Right.
01:21:20Yeah.
01:21:21Totally.
01:21:21Totally fine.
01:21:22Great.
01:21:24Yeah.
01:21:26Totally fine to meet my childhood icon in front of an audience.
01:21:29Yeah.
01:21:34Okay.
01:21:36Whew.
01:21:37May I sit beside you, please?
01:21:45Oh, thanks.
01:21:46Ah, the book.
01:22:08Good evening.
01:22:18Can you hear me in the back, Bear?
01:22:20Well, thank you, everyone, for joining us tonight.
01:22:23I am thrilled to be here to discuss walking on air.
01:22:27Everyone, please give a warm welcome to Sophie Wood.
01:22:37Such a treat to meet you.
01:22:42Well, let's get right into it, shall we?
01:22:45Yes.
01:22:45Oh, sorry.
01:22:46Oh, no worries.
01:22:49So, Sophie, tell us how you heard the good news about your bestseller.
01:22:57Better?
01:22:58Okay.
01:22:59Okay.
01:22:59Okay.
01:23:00So, yeah, I woke up in the morning, obviously, and I read it in the paper.
01:23:08We still get the paper at my mom's flower shop.
01:23:12It's my day job.
01:23:15And so, yeah, that's where I was.
01:23:17Well, that's a good segue to my next question.
01:23:22It is?
01:23:23Yes.
01:23:24They say write what you know.
01:23:27So, my question is, are you a pro on the tightrope when you're not writing?
01:23:32And if so, can you demonstrate for us after this?
01:23:35Wow, a curveball and a challenge.
01:23:41Well, I hate to disappoint you, but I'm actually terrified of heights.
01:23:45But I did visit a very tall building this week, so I just might be getting closer to giving it a try.
01:23:54Don't ask me to join you.
01:23:55I am a big fan of gravity.
01:23:59Tell us about Sasha, your protagonist.
01:24:01Where did the inspiration for her character come from?
01:24:06Right.
01:24:07So, my process is very much about research.
01:24:11And when I first read about the first female tightrope walker to ever, um, to ever, uh...
01:24:21Sorry, yes.
01:24:22The main character was inspired by a real-life circus artist.
01:24:26But as far as her inner dialogue, her perseverance, her drive, her unwavering belief to do whatever she set her mind to,
01:24:35all of that was inspired by my mom, Evelyn.
01:24:41She raised me as a single mom in the city with very few resources after we lost my dad.
01:24:46And as a child, I remember thinking that some kind of luck or magic was at play.
01:24:53Somehow we always got by.
01:24:56Somehow we still managed to laugh and smell the roses.
01:25:01Somehow we healed.
01:25:02But, much like tightrope walking, there's nothing magical about it.
01:25:09She got us both through by taking one step at a time.
01:25:14Balancing both strength and softness.
01:25:18Never once letting us fall.
01:25:21Is mom here?
01:25:23Oh, yes.
01:25:24She's right there, actually.
01:25:26Let's give mom a round of applause.
01:25:29It was so great to have you on the show.
01:25:42Thanks again.
01:25:47I cannot believe this whole time you thought of me as a svelte and nimble acrobat.
01:25:54Even the bravest of daredevils have nothing on you.
01:25:57Well, you hung on tight up there.
01:26:02Can I get in here?
01:26:03Oh, yes.
01:26:07Meredith McEvins from Grapevine.
01:26:09So nice to meet you.
01:26:10Miss McEvins, it's an honor.
01:26:12Thank you for coming.
01:26:13Oh, of course.
01:26:14I just talked to Janice and confirmed our dinner.
01:26:16If that still works, I'd love to discuss what's next for you.
01:26:20Yes.
01:26:21Can't wait to chat.
01:26:22Great.
01:26:23Well, whew.
01:26:34Amazing job up there, Sophie.
01:26:37Thank you so much.
01:26:38Oh, I mean, I knew you'd get through it, but that was beyond.
01:26:41The chemistry with Olivia, unreal.
01:26:44You think?
01:26:44Oh, it was fantastic.
01:26:46And the book deal's all but signed.
01:26:48Don't be surprised if Meredith draws up the contract over appetizers.
01:26:53Wow.
01:26:54And thanks again for letting me connect you with Daniel.
01:26:56Oh, thank you for the recommendation.
01:26:59I think it's safe to say it definitely helps.
01:27:02Oh, definitely.
01:27:03I couldn't get over his face when he was watching you up there just now.
01:27:06He looked so happy for you.
01:27:09Really?
01:27:10Mm-hmm.
01:27:10Is he still here?
01:27:13Mm-hmm.
01:27:16Right over there.
01:27:33You did it!
01:27:34Did I?
01:27:35You were incredible 20 out of 10.
01:27:39Listen, I'm sorry I didn't hear you out yesterday.
01:27:41I'm scared.
01:27:42Nah, I shouldn't have started anything without your permission.
01:27:44I was just inspired.
01:27:48Let's make the episode.
01:27:49Together.
01:27:51Are you sure?
01:27:52Really, it's fine if we just keep everything between us.
01:27:55I thought you said I had a story to share with the world.
01:27:59Wouldn't be very honest if I held back the messy parts, would it?
01:28:02I can't argue there.
01:28:04Good.
01:28:06Looking forward to our next project.
01:28:08I wonder what other fears we'll conquer along the way.
01:28:14Yeah, there's actually something I've been a little scared to do for a while now.
01:28:20You need to be shy.
01:28:24Oh.
01:28:24Should I say, oh.
01:28:25Bye.
01:28:25Bye.
01:28:26Bye.
01:28:37Bye.
01:28:37Bye.
01:28:37Bye.
