00:00When you become disabled there is suddenly a lot more life admin that you just have to deal with.

00:09It's just a huge amount of change to every aspect of your life.

00:14And I just ended up doing nothing and not looking after myself because of it.

00:20Most people are ordinary people who have extraordinary circumstances

00:24which changes everything about how their life falls out.

00:29In terms of their body image, their self-confidence, their ability to go to work, their ability to engage in hobbies.

00:37And the idea of Stride Forward is to fill that gap by providing mentoring programmes

00:43to support people in re-engaging in things that they loved or finding new direction.

00:53We got on from like the minute we met, it was like instant.

00:58On FaceTime, Holly was like, I think you'll like her.

01:02I think, I think you guys will get on.

01:06Seeing Evie and her small wins, that's what I'm never going to forget.

01:11I've just found it a really rewarding experience.

01:17Once you get Sean talking about coding, he's just, you know, free-flowing.

01:22I've learned so much, so much from him and the challenges that he's going through.

01:27It's quite humbling really, actually.

01:29Farmers really need both their legs, but Nathan has done amazingly to carry on being a farmer.

01:37And if I can help in any way with a bit of paperwork, with a bit of signposting, with a bit of support

01:42and some more chocolate brownies, then I think it's going to be a good year ahead of us.

01:49Very useful.

01:52I think the good thing about the relationship is, it's been an opportunity to talk things through, hasn't it?

01:57Oh, definitely.

01:58Break things down and then work out how you'd like to go forward.
