00:00Now, the president of the Washington-based Saudi-American Public Relations Affairs Committee

00:06has rejected claims that executed terrorist convict Turkey al-Jasser was a journalist.

00:13The Saudi Ministry of Interior announced the death of al-Jasser after he was convicted

00:18of multiple offenses, including high treason through espionage.

00:24Earlier, I spoke to Saudi geopolitical researcher Salman al-Ansari, who did address this very matter.

00:33Yeah, thank you, Leon, so much for having me.

00:36And as we have seen, that Turkey al-Jasser is literally a terrorist, a traitor, and he

00:43had nothing to do with journalism.

00:44And that claim of him being a journalist by some media outlets have been just a fabrication.

00:52He basically worked in a sensitive government agency, and he had access to classified information.

00:59He served a full prison sentence, which was like four years, and was released, something

01:04that wouldn't happen in the case there were political motivation behind his imprisonment.

01:12But after his release, he was recruited, and this is the new thing that I didn't even mention

01:17in the threat, he was recruited by a woman working for a regional intelligence agency.

01:24And he resumed his activities, this time more dangerously, engaging in the planning and financing

01:32of terrorism.

01:34He was convicted of espionage and high treason, and they're both definitely like the Saudi legal

01:40system, which is the case for any other responsible country.

01:45They would take the high treason crime as a very top crime.

01:52And it's just very unfortunate seeing how some international media have been using that case

01:59and claiming that he was a journalist, which he wasn't.

02:02And we have actually seen a pattern, Leon, like we have seen a pattern that was like a couple

02:08of decades ago.

02:09We can remember how the Western media used to label Osama bin Laden.

02:14They were actually labeling him as a freedom fighter because of his role against the Soviets.

02:19And the Saudis stripped Osama bin Laden from his nationality, and they called him a dangerous

02:25terrorist.

02:26They labeled him as a terrorist.

02:30But unfortunately, the West didn't take the Saudi heads seriously until we saw what happened

02:37in 9-11.

02:38The same goes with the other guy, Abdul Mohsin Talib, who was a terrorist and who came from

02:44Saudi Arabia, and he was a fugitive in Germany.

02:47And the Saudi government asked to extradite him from Germany, but he was labeled in the German

02:55press as a human rights activist.

02:58And the Saudi government warned the Germans that he is not a human rights activist.

03:03He's just an extremist and terrorist.

03:05And he ended up killing many civilians in Germany a couple of months ago.

03:12So, yeah.
