Uttar Pradesh – In a heart-wrenching case from Rodkali village in Muzaffarnagar, a 24-year-old woman, Muskan, allegedly poisoned her two young children with the help of her lover, Junaid, as they were seen as a hurdle in their relationship, police said on Friday.
The children — Arhan (5) and Enaya (1) — were found dead under suspicious circumstances at their home on Thursday. During interrogation, Muskan confessed to the crime, stating she wanted to eliminate the children to start a new life with Junaid.
Muskan has been arrested, while Junaid is absconding. The two had reportedly planned to go on a "honeymoon" after the murders. Muskan’s husband, Waseem, was away working in Chandigarh at the time of the incident.
