00:00So you may know the Peace Hall well. Amazing building in the heart of Halifax that reopened
00:06in 2017 after huge regeneration projects and in recent years it's become a huge gig venue.
00:13The likes of Noel Gallagher, Blondie, McFly, even Limp Bizkit have played there and it's become
00:22kind of a really big part of the touring schedule for a lot of bands coming back time and time
00:27again. However the charitable trust behind the Peace Hall has just put out its latest accounts
00:33for 18 months up to September last year. They say they've lost £700,000 and part of the reason for
00:40that is lower than expected profits from gigs. So they're looking for more money from Calderdale
00:46Council, more public cash to support their work but they're also considering other options to kind
00:51of balance the books including charging for toilets at the Peace Hall. So anyone familiar with the
00:55Peace Hall, interested to hear from you what more could be done at the Peace Hall to help it have
01:01a sustainable future. Love to hear your thoughts.
