01:37we had to come up with a whole new camera system that was very light and very small.
01:42So we took the system we developed for Top Gun Maverick, and we miniaturized it.
01:48And we made it as small as we could. I'm sure these guys wish it was a little smaller,
01:52because it was right in front of their face the whole time while they were driving.
01:55But the reason it feels immersive is because it's really happening.
01:58I mean, these guys are driving the cars at 180 miles an hour.
02:02The cameras are mounted to the cars. We're shooting it during a real race weekend,
02:06you know, between practice and qualifying sessions.
02:09And there's just, you know, the audience can feel that.

02:42So before I even got the part, I drove up somewhere in California and got in simulators
02:47and got the guy to like put all the racetracks there so I could like learn them before I even
02:52like came to London and saw you.
02:54Then I downloaded the F1 game, created a fake character and won a championship,
02:59kind of manifesting.
03:00And then when we finally got the part, it was about the training, intense training from
03:05Rockingham to Silverstone, Palm Springs.
03:08We were in Austin, Texas, all the way from F4 up to F1.
03:11And just really learning and immersing myself in the world of Formula 1.
03:15Being in the car and dealing with these forces, G-forces, the physics of it all,
03:20it's just something you cannot fake.
03:22And, you know, Joe said it, I want to make the most immersive, visceral racing film that's
03:29ever been done.
03:30That's how he got Lewis in.
03:31That's how he got me in.
03:32That's how he got all of us in.
03:33For us to even get to experience a hint of that was such a high.
03:39I would love to explain what downforce feels like, the way these cars can stick.
03:46It is awesome.
03:47I don't know how to do any better than that because there's nothing that I can compare
03:50it to.
03:51It is such a high.
03:52And, and the fact that we've got to be tourists in this ecosystem for a little bit was just
04:00an experience I'll never forget.
