Jan Dolski may be the sole survivor of a crash landing on a distant planet, but he won’t be alone for long. In order to operate the mobile base—and escape the planet—he must create alternate versions of himself. These “alters” come from lives he never lived, walking paths he never took. They are crucial for survival, but they may resent him, because some of them believe they lived better versions of his life.
