Liverpool homes in lower bands could benefit from new BBC licence fee model

As most homes in Liverpool fall into Bands A to C, many households could pay less under the BBC’s proposed system.

00:37Northwest the BBC says usage in this region

00:40is above 90% but license fee evasion has

00:43historically been highest in urban parts

00:46of the north no decisions have been made

00:49yet and any changes would require public

00:51consultation as well as new legislation but

00:54the plan marks a major rethink of how

00:56public broadcasting is funded
