00:17late Sunday near his home in Green Isle, Sibley County.
00:21After a two-day manhunt, two sleepless nights, law enforcement have apprehended Vance Bolter.
00:28That's 48 hours that law enforcement involved in a complex and dangerous manhunt, spent
00:34Father's Day away from their families to deliver justice for Melissa and Mark Hortman and their
00:41children who spent this Father's Day alone.
00:44Minnesota Representative Melissa Hortman and her husband, Mark, were fatally shot in their
00:48Brooklyn Park home.
00:50According to Walls, Bolter had gone to the Hortman's residence after allegedly shooting
00:55Senator Hoffman and his wife multiple times in their Champlin home, approximately 15 kilometers

01:06Bolter was charged with two counts of second-degree murder and two counts of second-degree attempted
01:10murder, according to a Hennepin County criminal complaint.
01:14Police officers reportedly witnessed him shoot Mark Hortman before fleeing the scene.
01:18About 2 a.m. this morning, there was an original call in the city of Champlin where there was
01:24an individual that had shot Senator Hoffman and his wife.
01:28Police responded to that location.
01:30They were dealing with that and working through that process overnight.
01:34And then later on, at approximately 3.35, another call came in when it was officers proactively
01:43checking because they knew of the incident that occurred.
01:46And they were going to check on Speaker Hortman at that time, at which time Brooklyn Park police
01:52officers encountered the individual who immediately fired at them.
01:57And they exchanged gunfire.
01:59And then the individual was able to escape during that exchange of gunfire.
02:03The FBI had offered a US$50,000 reward for information leading to Bolter's arrest.
02:09And more than 100 officers, including SWAT teams, joined the intensive search.
02:14Authorities received over 400 public tips, with search efforts focused in rural Sibley County,
02:20around 80 kilometers southwest of Minneapolis, where Bolter lived with his wife and five children.
02:26Walz described Hortman's death as a political assassination and ordered flags flown at half-staff
02:33in her memory.
02:35Hortman, Speaker Emerita of the Minnesota House, leaves behind two children.
02:40Bolter is a former political appointee who previously served on the state's Workforce Development Board
02:45alongside Hoffman, though the extent of their relationship remains unclear.
02:50Text messages viewed by the Associated Press showed Bolter apologizing to friends around
02:556 a.m. Saturday, though he did not specify what he had done.

03:08I think it was quite a few years.
03:10I think there was a really big deal.
03:10A few years ago, the police will be able to engage with that.
03:13You know, it wasn't quite a few years.
03:14I wasn't really like riding a lot of the conditions.
03:17The journalist is a very big deal.
03:21But there were some people who were able to live with the people who are a little bit before.
