Maoists from Jharkhand loot explosives in Odisha’s Rourkela, SIT investigation underway

Rourkela (Odisha), June 15, 2025 (ANI): Brijesh Ray, DIG, (WR) says "A robbery incident took place on 27th May. In this, 200 packets of explosives were looted. It was found that the Maoists who had come from Jharkhand's Saranda were involved in this. SP Rourkela had set up an SIT to investigate the incident. Several people were interrogated, and it was found that a person from the same area, George Munda, passed vital information to the Maoists because of his vested interests and due to which the Maoists were able to carry out this incident. Further investigation is underway"
