00:00A new national poll released by the Ronald Reagan Institute reveals that more Americans support
00:05than oppose potential Israeli airstrikes on Iran's nuclear facilities, if diplomatic talks
00:11between the U.S. and Iran were to fail. The survey, conducted before Israel's recent
00:17military action, shows 45% of Americans back targeted strikes, while 37% are opposed and
00:2418% remain undecided. The results also highlight a clear political divide. Support among Republicans
00:31is strongest, with 60% in favor of airstrikes. That number drops to 35% among independents and
00:38just 32% among Democrats. Meanwhile, 27% of Republicans oppose the strikes, compared to
00:45about a third of independents and over half of Democrats. The findings come just ahead of
00:50Israel's latest military operation, Operation Rising Lion, which targeted Iran's nuclear program
00:57and senior military figures. While the operation had not yet occurred during the polling period,
01:02May 22, June 2, the results offer insight into American public opinion on one of the most
01:08pressing global security concerns.
