00:00Trevor Chalibur marked his first England appearance in a landmark moment for both himself and
00:07his family, joining a select group of siblings to have represented the three Lions.
00:13The Chelsea defender started Tuesday nights friendly against Senegal, making his senior
00:17debut and joining older brother Nathaniel on the list of capped England internationals.
00:24In doing so, the Chaliburs became just the third set of brothers to play for England,
00:29following in the footsteps of Gary and Phil Neville and the legendary Charlton brothers
00:34Jack and Bobby.
00:35Yeah, definitely.
00:36Obviously him being here also and to see his younger brother do the same, it was a very
00:41proud moment for him and hopefully I can be here even more.
00:47Nathaniel, now 30 and playing for Sheffield Wednesday in the Championship, made a brief
00:52appearance for England in 2018.
00:55He came off the bench for the final moments of a Nations League victory over Spain, earning
01:00a solitary minute of international action.
01:03Like his younger brother, Nathaniel came through Chelsea's youth system and while his England
01:07career never took off, he set a powerful president within the family.
01:13Trevor meanwhile had plenty to wait potentially for his opportunity.
01:17He didn't feature in England's sluggish World Cup qualifying win over Andorra last weekend,
01:22but was trusted to start against Senegal.
01:24The 25-year-old has long been admired for his versatility and composure in defence.
01:30The challenger enjoyed most consistent football under Thomas Tuchel at Chelsea, making 31 appearances
01:36and scoring four goals during the 2021-22 season.
01:41He was part of the Blues' Champions League winning squad that year.
01:45However, his role diminished under Tuchel's successors and he was loaned out to Crystal Palace
01:51at the beginning of the current campaign as new boss Enzo Marescu streamlined the squad.
01:58Injuries within the Chelsea camp prompted his January recall and he went on to feature 19 times
02:03in the second half of the season, potentially earning himself a more prominent role under
02:09Marescu next term, especially following his England breakthrough.
