00:00In the moment in time the New Rising Suns existed, you sort of bet on dreams.
00:11It was an amazing time in New York. It's just at a moment in a place you had like a certain energy.
00:18There was still that promise that you could be a rock star.
00:23It was obvious right away that the three of us had some sort of an aesthetic together.
00:28They kind of looked like the Verve. They looked like a young version of the Rolling Stones.
00:32The feeling of excitement in the room because it was like they had that energy, like they had the buzz.
00:36A certain pop appeal. They had a cool image. People were like, this is going to be a big band.
00:42Every show was sold out. Lines around the block.
00:44It would be massive. It just sounded amazing.
00:47The dream of making music. It was all just like, bam.
00:51We're going to have lackeys all over the place in about four months.
00:54We had done months of work to get to that point.
00:57Kevin and I just were clashing a lot.
00:59Cracks that we're developing become crevices.
01:01The record label sees it as a sign of weakness.
01:04That's more of an incentive for them to be like, hmm.
01:07These people don't realize they have your lives in their hands.
01:10The dream was over the second the New Rising Suns was over.
01:14And I was like, I'm not going to let this die just yet.
01:20At that time in our lives, the three of us were supposed to be together.
01:24This is a band that a lot of people didn't get a chance to hear, you know, and they were really good.
01:29I think it's very unusual for a band to get a second chance like this.
01:40The stars really did come together for Drew, Kevin and I.
