Truly heartbreaking. My deepest condolences to all those affected.

I recently flew Virgin Atlantic’s Boeing 787 Dreamliner from London to Delhi, and unfortunately got the same aircraft on Etihad Airways from Abu Dhabi to New York though I always prefer Airbus but the Dreamliner experience was flawless both ways, from the cabin comfort to the smooth journey.

While I’m not rushing to judge or place blame on Air India/Boeing for the recent tragedy, it’s hard to ignore the long-standing concerns all over social media.. ranging from worn-out seats and quality food to poor in-flight entertainment and ticketing issues.

Clearly, there’s a deeper problem with the airline’s and the manufacturer maintenance and overall service standards.

Before I used to fly peace of mind but after watching several air crash investigations I’m always scared of -
1) Flap settings on wings
2) TakeOff & Rotate velocity V1/V2 which depends on aircraft weight, etc

Sad about aviation safety.
