We went out into Manchester to ask people on the street about the protests currently going on in Spain and whether civil unrest such as that would be enough to make them change their holiday plans.

00:00Hello and welcome to Manchester World. My name's Theo Keeson-Becton. Today I'm out on the streets of Manchester asking people about holidays.
00:05Particularly we're going to be looking at Spain where protests have been reported over the past week or so.
00:09We want to know if that's the sort of thing that will put people off from holidaying there or whether they don't really mind and I'll just try and steer clear of that area.
00:16If I'm going with my friends, probably not. If I'm going with my mum maybe, girlfriend, maybe.
00:25But if it's just me and my mates, I wouldn't be that bothered.
00:28I think if it's like consistently happening, depending on how raucous the protests are, it's definitely going to rethink what I do, where I go.
00:37If there's like one protest, one like the last however long, I don't think I'd consider it really.
00:46Just stay away from it. Just stay in your hotel or just find other places. I mean, part of me would be a bit tempted to, you know, get in the mix.
00:56Yeah, you'd be involved. You'd be in the middle of the protest.
00:58Yeah.
