00:34The path to the qualification first became clear and sealed last week following the White
00:39Wolves' goal-less draw with the United Arab Emirates.
00:42Since 2018, Uzbekistan has been investing in the country's football development, including
00:48the opening of football academies for young players in 14 regions.
00:53Before the campaign, Uzbekistan had failed seven times to qualify for the World Cup since
00:58its independence from the Soviet Union in 1991.
01:02The 2026 World Cup will be held next June in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
