Tennessee Titans OC Nick Holz commented on Cam Ward and Jeffery Simmons 'trash talk' adding some much needed 'edge' that the team was lacking. Holz talks WR Calvin Ridley as a perfect veteran for young guys to lean on, and new OT Dan Moore Jr. allowing the Titans to open up the playbook.

00:00I wish I kind of had that level of poise at some point when somebody was talking to me like Jeff.
00:06But it was fun. I think that's an energy to practice.
00:10When it's handled well and it doesn't ever go too far,
00:15but it brings everybody's kind of energy level up a little bit.
00:18Probably on offense it's something we've needed.
00:21We need a little bit of edge to us.
00:24So far it's June whatever the day is, but Cam's got a little bit of that to him.
00:30And I think it's good. Everybody kind of feeds off of that, which is good.
00:32I think they kind of invigorate each other.
00:36I think Calvin kind of takes a lot of energy from having all these young guys that are eager and kind of ready to work like he does.
00:44And they kind of see how this guy who's done it for a long time and really kind of established himself in the league, how he works every day.
00:51So I think that kind of relationship between the young guys and the old guys,
00:54it's been really fun and kind of really brought the whole energy of the whole group and really the whole offense to a better level.
01:03So with the find kind of everybody's role, I think Chim has showed that he can play inset and outside here.
01:09With so far, you know, it's easy in shorts at this point.
01:12And so, you know, he's shown he can kind of play everywhere all over the field.
01:16So as much as he can keep taking and growing in the offense, I think we want to use him a lot.
01:21So I don't think there's any limits on what he could do, but I don't think we're ready to kind of say he's going to be this spot yet either.
01:27As you try on great line play is probably the key to every good offense in the NFL.
01:31So, you know, Dan really can give us a chance to kind of do some more just straight six-man protections
01:39and not helping out both sides of the tackles and things like that.
01:42So he kind of opens up just a lot of the playbook and a lot of more spacing on the field for the passing game.
01:48And, you know, he's a good run game player too, so kind of you feel good about all the spots across the board.
01:54And I think that's a comfortable feeling for Brian as a play caller and for the rest of the offensive staff to go,
01:59okay, we don't have to go and have a hole or just have to help somebody over on one side.
02:05He's got a couple things where he's trying to maybe go, hey, I could do this and give a hand signal out here
02:09and do this and do that and all these other things.
02:11We're like, okay, you may know that hand signal, but does the receiver know the hand signal?
02:14You know, you've got to kind of sometimes slow them down a little bit, and I think their eagerness is good.
02:19But there's also – we'll get to that point, but at the same time we've got to, you know, walk forward run.
