00:28was respected like Oceangate, gave them the benefit of the doubt that they're going to be doing the
00:32right things, you know, registering at least with somebody, you know, and that benefit of the doubt
00:39just didn't occur to work out in this case. When you register a vessel, you have to also kind of
00:44clarify what type of operation you're going to be doing, you know, commercial, recreational,
00:50because Oceangate called their passenger admission specialists and to infer that they were part of
00:56the crew and doing duties. And it was really amassed, you know, to have their passengers that are
01:03paying appear, you know, to be part of the crew. And that's, you know, under U.S. law and regulations.
01:10If you're paying the company to be aboard, you're a paying passenger, you know, regardless if you're
01:14taking a log or helping and, you know, secure a hatch, it doesn't matter. You know, we had a former,
01:20a reserve postcard officer, or postcard petty officer who worked for Oceangate and called to
01:26lunch with Mr. Rush after he found out what was occurring, you know, with the passenger
01:30adjustment situation, told them what they were doing was illegal and then was kind of
01:37intimidated and fired. But, you know, it just shows like when there's a corporate entity involved,
01:45you know, it can be intimidating and people have to step up and just one person coming
01:52forward on Oceangate regarding Titan could have intervened and stopped the whole operation.
