00:00Well, the travel ban countries is 12 countries that the president and the administration have shared
00:09are places where it's impossible to get accurate information or true vetting
00:16from those who might apply for visas to come to the United States.
00:21So, you know, you're talking about places like Yemen, which is clearly a war zone.
00:27Most of the country has been overtaken by the Houthi terrorist militias.
00:32You're talking about places like the Islamic Republic of Iran with the Iranian regime in power
00:37and, of course, one of our chief adversaries.
00:40So, you know, the understanding, again, is that that travel restriction is also based on U.S. national security needs,
00:49understanding that we cannot get accurate information from those 12 countries, you know, like Afghanistan.
00:55Afghanistan and others.
00:57So that's what lies at the heart of it.
01:00And I can imagine that there might be some criticism.
01:03But, you know, let's remember the United States is not the only country that has these kinds of travel restrictions.
01:09There are actually countries in the Muslim world that have travel restrictions from these very same countries.
01:15So I think what you're looking at under Donald Trump is a new era of looking at immigration with the lens of national security is a top priority.
01:26You know, he says he has an America first foreign policy and domestic policy agenda.
01:31And that's exactly what America first is, which is we're going to put the interests of the United States
01:36and of the American people ahead of anything else, including anyone who would like to enter this country.
01:40So, you know, we're going to put the interests of the United States and of the United States and of the United States.
