00:00We are here at the 2025 BET Awards Red Carpet with the one and only Givion.

00:04How are you doing tonight, man?

00:05I'm so good. I thought I was going to be a little hotter, but it still feels cool and nice.

00:08We got some time for the sun really beats down on us.

00:11Okay, yeah, yeah.

00:12Now, I know you got some new music on the way.

00:15I've been running up 20s. What can we expect from the album?

00:19Just more of that organic soul sound and just raw, vulnerable storytelling.

00:26Just what you would expect from me, but just a little more elevated.

00:30The songwriting is elevated.

00:32My vocal is elevated.

00:34And I grew not only as a man, but as an artist as well.

00:38You've been working.

00:39I love that.

00:40Any collaborations we can expect on the album?

00:44Just me again.

00:44I don't know. I just like doing albums by myself.

00:47I'll do features on other people's things sometimes, but for my stuff, I like to just...

00:54Because I'm just venting almost and getting stuff off my chest, so it's hard to vent in there.

00:59Has somebody else vent on top of your venting.

01:03We're honoring Snoop Dogg and Mariah Carey tonight as the Icon Award.

01:08What would you say is your favorite Mariah or Snoop song, or both?

01:11Well, me and Snoop are both from Long Beach, California.

01:14LBC.

01:14Yeah, yeah, yeah.

01:15You better represent.

01:15So my mom was running up all types of Snoop Dogg, so it's impossible for me to pick.

01:21Yeah.

01:22Mariah Carey, I'm going to say we belong together, especially because I love the sample, the Bobby Womack sample.

01:27But also, I'm excited for the 106 and Park tribute, too.

01:31Who do you hope comes out for the 106 and Park tribute?

01:33Honestly, I don't know, because I don't know.

01:35Are they honoring even the last year?

01:39They're honoring old school, like what we grew up watching.

01:42Oh, okay.

01:44I feel like anyone who ever went on the show could come out, so I'm excited to see it.
