00:00A quiet dog is a calmer, more attentive, more trainable dog.
00:05And that's the advantage of the SportDog No Bark Collar family, offered in three new waterproof models.
00:11Our SPC-8 Collar is truly plug and play, with no programming required.
00:16It's easy to use and offers eight levels of progressive stimulation with a replaceable battery.
00:20For a dog trainer, an e-collar is just another tool that we can use in our program.
00:33It's going to take the place of the leash, and we will start to substitute using the e-collar in the leash's place.
00:40This cannot be used to teach while we're working with the dog.
00:44They need to be taught prior to applying the e-collar.
00:46Once they've learned their skills, and they're comfortably doing their skills,
00:52then we can use this in place of the leash.
00:55When you first take your collars out of the box, and your transmitter out of the box,
01:00you want to charge them.
01:01Put them on the charger for two hours.
01:03They'll go to a full charge in that length of time.
01:05Be ready to use.
01:06You'll know that when they need to be recharged,
01:09the light on your receiver will be blinking red,
01:12and the light on your transmitter when you press the button will be red,
01:16instead of green.
01:17If you've got a green light here and a green light here,
01:19you've got plenty of battery life.
01:21If you've got a red light that's blinking,
01:24and you've got a red light here,
01:25that means you can train a little bit longer,
01:27but you're going to need to get this thing on a charger pretty quickly.
01:30Okay.
01:31To turn the unit on, we're going to turn the receiver on.
01:34It has an on-off button on top of the receiver.
01:38You're going to press that button,
01:40and the green light will start to blink, saying that it is on.
01:45The transmitter does not have an on-off button.
01:48It is on demand.
01:49When you press a button, any of the three buttons that are on it,
01:53it's on, but when you release the button, it's off.
01:55So therefore, you don't have to turn this on and off.
01:58As soon as you turn this on,
02:00you want to send it a signal from the transmitter
02:02just to make sure that they're synced up.
02:05I'm pressing the continuous button right now,
02:07and you see a continuous red light here.
02:09That means that they are paired, and they're ready to go.
02:12As you start to introduce your dog to the e-collar,
02:16one of the first things you want to do is put it on the dog.
02:20And tension and tightness here is very important.
02:23There's multiple ways to do this.
02:25My rule of thumb is I pull it to a specific hole on the collar strap
02:31where it's very tight, and I back out one hole.
02:34That allows you to get a finger underneath it,
02:37that you can get a finger under the collar,
02:38then you know it's not too tight.
02:40It's not strangling him.
02:42Once that is done, then it's time to do something fun.
02:46So immediately after you put your e-collar on your dog,
02:49it's time now to throw a tennis ball or throw a bumper
02:51and make him start to believe that when this goes on,
02:55we get to do something fun.
02:56So he looks forward to you putting an e-collar on.
02:59It is his uniform to get to go play in the game.
03:08So how do we get a dog to understand
03:11that this is nothing more than a leash?
03:13In our training, as we start to teach this dog,
03:16we're going to be applying leash pressure
03:18with our leash on his neck.
03:21That's where the leash will contact him.
03:22As we use the e-collar,
03:25it's going to be contacting the dog
03:26at the exact same spot, same location.
03:29So now, each time that we give a tug on the leash,
03:32we're going to give a light bump with a transmitter
03:35to send the signal to the e-collar
03:38to give the dog the stimulation.
03:40It's just a light tap.
03:41Each time that we use a tug on the leash,
03:44we're going to tap him with the collar.
03:46And before too long, in his mind,
03:48the leash and the e-collar are the exact same thing.
03:51There is no difference between them.
03:53Now, with that, you need to be careful.
03:55Probably the first two weeks,
03:58we're going to have a min-max rule.
04:00No more than five stimulations per session
04:03so that you can avoid overstimulating the dog
04:06and having him start to worry about this.
04:08But get at least three stimulations in
04:11so that he can start to learn the lesson
04:13we're trying to teach him
04:14is that this and our leash are the exact same thing.
04:17As you start to stimulate your dog,
04:18you're going to use low levels of stimulation.
04:22And what we're looking for is a reaction from the dog.
04:24It could be him to stop and turn his head and look at you.
04:27What I typically look for is a little bit of head drop
04:30and a swallow response out of the dog.
04:32If you look closely, most of the time when you see that,
04:35they're saying, I understand, I accept.
04:37I know I've done something incorrect here.
04:40Once we see that response,
04:42then we're going to start to think about that level
04:44on our intensity and stay in that level.
04:48Anytime that you see your dog vocalizing,
04:51you're out of bounds
04:52and you need to turn that wheel down.
04:54Rule of thumb here, though,
04:56is to always use the minimum amount of pressure necessary
04:59to get the dog to respond
05:01and to stop what his instincts are trying to tell him to do.
05:05Use properly.
05:06This is much easier on the dog
05:08than a regular leash is
05:10because it's less contact,
05:12it's less intensity.
05:13But they've just been conditioned through training
05:15to understand they have to stop when they feel this.
05:18It's the word no to them.
05:20It tells them to stop their actions.
05:24A quiet dog is a calmer, more attentive, more trainable dog.
05:29And that's the advantage of the Sport Dog No Bark Collar family,
05:33offered in three new waterproof models.
05:35Our SPC-8 Collar is truly plug and play
05:38with no programming required.
05:40It's easy to use
05:41and offers eight levels of progressive stimulation
05:43with a replaceable battery.
05:47The rechargeable SPC-10 Collar gives you two modes,
05:50a plug and play or a programmable mode
05:52that allows you to quickly set the collar
05:54to one of 10 specific stimulation levels.
05:59Our flagship rechargeable SPC-R
06:01adapts to your dog with temperament learning.
06:04It starts with the stimulation level low
06:06and progressively adds stimulation,
06:08sensing the level that works best and sets itself there.
06:12Not too little, not too much.
06:14Just the ideal balance based solely on what your dog needs.
06:18The Sport Dog No Bark Collar family.
06:21Hear the quiet?
06:21My name is Kylie and today I'm hopping on giving an honest review
06:30on this Colofrog 2-in-1 Dog Training Collar
06:34and Bark Control Collar.
06:36First, let's go over everything you will receive.
06:38So you're going to get this nice remote here.
06:41I love how it has this big digital display on it
06:44and all the buttons we'll go over in a minute.
06:46And then you get the collar itself.
06:49This is where you get like the shock and vibrate really well made
06:52as well as this collar attached to it.
06:54And then you will get the booklet.
06:57I would definitely recommend reading this over
06:59because this can do so many different things,
07:01has tons of different settings.
07:03And I love the charger that it comes with
07:05because it does have this little like splitter here.
07:08So you can actually charge both the remote
07:12and the collar at once just with like the USB.
07:16And then it gives you all the extra pieces
07:18that you will need as well, which is really useful.
07:22I'm going to show you exactly how this works.
07:24But first, I just wanted to say
07:25that we've been using this for a couple months now
07:27and we have absolutely loved it.
07:29It's a very easy to use, super convenient little device.
07:33And there are so many functions you can do.
07:35My husband has taken our Black Lab out waterfowl hunting
07:38in the marsh, said there was no problems
07:41with the waterproof capability or the range.
07:44The range is actually almost three quarters of a mile.
07:46So that's a very nice range on this device.
07:49What I really love about this
07:51is that you can use the anti-bark function
07:53and the training function simultaneously.
07:56So on here, you're going to see this mode button on the side.
08:00This right here is going to show
08:02that you are only in the bark section.
08:04You can use shock or you can use just vibrate on that.
08:09And there's five different settings for each.
08:11And then when you have this screen right here,
08:13you are going to be in the training mode.
08:15And then that little thing popped up.
08:17Now you're in both.
08:18So I'm going to show you on this mode right here
08:20how this kind of works.
08:22You can see that it does have the beep button
08:24as like kind of a warning.
08:26There's so many different levels of sound
08:29as well as different beeping sounds
08:32that you can use, which I really like.
08:34And then the vibrate has 16 different levels.
08:37You can kind of hear it.
08:39And then the shock, you can have 99 different levels.
08:43So that's why it is good for small dogs up to very large dogs.
08:48This is Ridge here.
08:49As you can see, I've got the collar fastened tightly under his neck
08:53where they recommend it to be.
08:55I can still slide my finger under so it's not super tight.
08:58Ridge, off.
08:59And as you can see, he knows his commands.
09:03And what I love about this is if I say,
09:06Ridge, come, and I beep this,
09:08like he's automatically coming right back to me
09:11because he knows what could happen next if he doesn't.
09:14So like I said, we have the beep, vibrate, and shock function.
09:19And when I push the button, do you see that green light?
09:23And then the green light also turns on
09:25when you push the vibrate button.
09:28And then the red light will come on
09:29when you push the shock button.
09:31This is the mode on the side where you can switch it around.
09:34And then the power levels you change here.
09:38And I also really like that right down here,
09:40they actually have a lock button.
09:41So if I'm letting my kids play around with this,
09:43that it has that button.
09:45So let's test it one more time.
09:46Ridge.
09:47I beep it.
09:50Great tool to train your dog.
09:53Also, if they have a problem barking,
09:55there's so many different settings you can use for this.
09:57But if you are in the market, I would highly recommend this.
10:02There's nothing better than a weekend morning.
10:05Freshly brewed coffee, the daily newspaper,
10:10and chasing your dog down the street.
10:15Oops.
10:17Was that last thing unplanned?
10:20Maintaining a homey paradise can be a shaky thing.
10:24Especially if your dog rushes to you for trivialities
10:27as small as a fellow fluffy friend
10:29or a knock at the door.
10:36Solve the problem without a costly trainer.
10:38The Dog Rook Humane Collar uses only vibration and sound signals suitable for dogs.
10:43This is a remote training collar for your dog.
10:49It comes with everything in here and then also underneath here.
10:56So I am going to pull it all out, go over everything it comes with and how to use it.
11:02All right, so I've laid everything out here.
11:06You have the remote, which is what you hold to control the collar.
11:11This is the collar here.
11:13It has lots of holes so you can adjust it to fit your dog just right.
11:16You have these pieces which screw onto the back here and that is what is going to shock.
11:23So you have shorter and longer pieces and you have silicone caps.
11:28So the shorter pieces you're going to use for dogs with shorter hair
11:32and the silicone caps you can put over to make it softer on their skin.
11:36The longer pieces you're going to use for dogs with longer hair
11:39and it comes with the caps as well to kind of protect them.
11:43And then you have these contact spring sheets.
11:48These you also will attach onto here with these little screws on top.
11:55And that is for dogs with long hair just to make sure you're getting contact with the skin
12:00and the hair isn't in the way.
12:02You have a clicker here, which is great for training.
12:06A neck strap and a wrist strap.
12:09Chargers to charge.
12:10And this is just a tester piece that you can put on the little screws you screw in for shocking
12:18to make sure that it's working.
12:21And then a whistle.
12:22So that is everything it comes with and I will show you how to use it next.
12:27So the remote and collar also come with chargers.
12:31They're both rechargeable.
12:33And that charge is going to last up to 8 hours every day for 11 days.
12:38So you're going to get a good amount of time with these with just the one charge.
12:43And they can reach up to three quarters of a mile.
12:46So if you're training for hunting or to train your dog to stay by when you're hiking,
12:52you're going to get that good distance for that as well.
12:57So.
12:59All right.
12:59So I've got my pup here to kind of show you how it works.
13:03Because she does have short hair, I put on the short ones and I put that little silicone
13:09piece over the top so it doesn't irritate her skin.
13:12And then she's super small.
13:15So this is going to be really big on her.
13:17So I have to adjust that.
13:19But it just slides right on like this.
13:24And then that is used to train your dog.
13:33And then this is the remote here.
13:35So you hold and press this button to turn it on.
13:38And this here, you can switch one to two dogs, depending on how many dogs you are training
13:43at the moment.
13:44And then this button on the side, you will press to switch between the first dog and second
13:49dog.
13:49And then here, this is a beep and this is the shock.
13:53So you can press it to beep to give a first warning.
13:57And if it's, they're still not listening or responding, you can press the shock button
14:01after the beep to help train them and just really get them well-trained and well-behaved
14:10dogs.
14:10So that is how you work it.
14:13And just a great training tool.
14:15And real quick, I'll show you what it sounds like when it beeps.
14:18I didn't want to do this while it was on her.
14:20But if you press this button, that's what the beep sounds like.
14:24So you can start with that with your training.
14:27Hopefully they respond just to the beep.
14:29And then if you need to, you can move to the shock, which is this button and just gives
14:33them a little shock to get their attention and let them know it's time to listen and just
14:40will help your training go a lot better.
14:42So that is how you use the shock collar.
14:47It also comes with this bag here that you can carry on your shoulder or around your waist,
14:52however you want to just hold everything in so that you don't have to carry it.
14:57So this is something it also comes with.
15:00It has a little pocket up front here and then pockets on the side and a big opening in the
15:07middle.
15:07So you can carry this with you just around your waist to hold everything you need.
