00:00In March 2025, police in Groton, Connecticut, made a terrible discovery. A suitcase was found

00:06near a cemetery. Inside was the dead body of a woman named Suzanne Wormser, 58 years old.

00:14The suitcase had likely been there since February, but no one noticed it for weeks.

00:19Suzanne had been missing since December 2024. Her family reported her missing in April when

00:25they realized something was wrong. Police went to her home and spoke with Donald Koffel,

00:31a 68-year-old man who lived with her. At first, Koffel said he didn't know anything,

00:37but after police found blood and a baseball bat with hair inside the apartment,

00:41and after a witness came forward, he changed his story. Koffel admitted he hit Suzanne with the bat.

00:48He kept her dead body in the apartment for days before cutting it up. Then, he put part of her

00:53body in a suitcase and left it in the woods near the cemetery. He was arrested and charged with

00:58murder, tampering with evidence and improper disposal of a body. He is now in custody on a

01:04$1 million bond, but is also being treated in a hospital because he has cancer. Police say this
