00:00Taiwan's police and fire services are getting an additional holiday during the calendar
00:05year.
00:06The government announced that June 15th will be designated Police Day.
00:10On that day, police officers and cadets will be given the day off.
00:14The Interior Ministry says that while the holiday entitles police to time off, precincts
00:18and stations will be staffed to some degree.
00:21The government also designated January 19th as Firefighters Day.
