Tumbling on the floor, climbing over guardrails and hopping over fences are now part of the daily routine of some older Singaporeans to stay fit, agile and happy.

00:13says the sport brings her back to her childhood it's like I found a sports
00:19that suits me very well because when I was a child I like to jump around I like
00:24to play in the playground after taco you feel like you come alive again yeah
00:30though you're tired but you are like whoo I'm rejuvenated though unconventional
00:37the street sport is starting to see more older adult participants as active aging
00:42becomes a trend in Singapore the small city state is aging fast projected to
00:47become a super aged society this year meaning one in every five Singaporeans
00:52will be 65 or older it all started with coach 10 who designed the course to
00:58make the youngster dominant sport more accessible to older participants the
01:02news are talking about it people are falling down and having very bad
01:06injuries the government is emphasizing that seniors should stay fit and I'm
01:10outside thinking hey you know this stuff is this stuff is gonna be good the 33
01:15year old says the maneuvers help older people with their balance strength and
01:19more importantly it gives them confidence but not everyone accepts his
01:24idea there was a lot of discouragement a lot of people would say this will put
01:30seniors in danger it's very risky the whole point of parkour is to improve your
01:36agility and when you have an improved agility you'll be faster in your reaction
01:40as more people live longer through retirement and old age these parkour
01:45students are demonstrating to the world how to leap out and enjoy it Ryan Wu and
