00:39It was awesome to be able to work on her project.
00:42And me and my boys, J-Mo and J-Pounds, we have the first single.
00:47And also co-written by Ray Khalil, who's also on my record label.
00:52Yeah, it was amazing. She's amazing to work with.
00:55A great writer, a great producer. So much fun. We had a lot of fun.
00:59And that was like one of the last records we did in the studio.
01:02And it came together like so quick.
01:05She's a big hip-hop head.
01:06So I wanted to try to find something that we could, you know,
01:09continue the lineage of her mixing the old with the new.
01:12And I think we got it with this one.
01:19She's such a queen. We know she always knows what she wants.
01:21So how was it to kind of have you both in the studio?
01:23I feel like she trusts you.
01:24It was good. Yeah, a lot of trust.
01:26And I know I trust her.
01:27And we just, you know, like, we had multiple sessions.
01:30And we got to just work it out.
01:32And I got to learn about, like, her musical taste.
01:34And seeing what she was into.
01:35And listening to her stories that she told.
01:37And that's how we came up with the single.
01:39Because the Eric B and Rakim for President is a song that she really loves.
01:44And, you know, we were just in the studio before she got in.
01:47And we were messing around.
01:48I was like, let's try to flip this.
01:49And when she came in, she really liked it.
01:51So it's been a lot of fun working her.
