00:00All right. Now let's go to the Braves and Giants here. 10-15 Eastern start. The big question tonight has got to be how do the Braves recover after a game like last night, Danny? This is going to test this team in a very big way after blowing their biggest lead of the season. Total of seven and a half. And as you see, the Braves are slight favorites tonight. Minus 134. Spencer Schwellenbach has been very good for the Braves.
00:27Hayden Burr's song, like most of the Giants pitchers, has been getting the job done, especially at home. I don't know. I feel like this is more or less a veteran's team with the Braves. I think they'll bounce back, no?
00:41Yeah, I don't know if I'm going to bounce back, Craig, because I took the Braves yesterday when they had that egregious loss of seven runs in the ninth inning. I turned that thing off feeling confident.
00:51I think I watched it up until like one out in the ninth when it was, you know, 10-5 or whatever it was. And then all of a sudden I look and see that it ended up a loss. And oh my goodness, I was reeling from that. Just a brutal beat all around for anybody who had the Braves.
01:05But this team is just all over the place. And I get what you're saying. I mean, I'm not going to openly go out of my way to fade Atlanta, especially with Schwellenbach on the bump, because he's been tremendous, as you alluded to.
01:18And the veteran presence, you think this is a spot where they can respond, but not even just because from a personal perspective that I'm salty about the loss I had yesterday.
01:26Clearly, I don't really know what to expect about this team mentally and how they can bounce back. So I think for the time being, I'm just going to kind of stay away from them because I could easily see this turning to be an event where Schwellenbach pitches really good and then their bullpen blows it and it's a really lower scoring affair.
01:45And the Giants just notched the victory 2-1, 3-2, something along those lines where it's kind of another heartbreaker, but they keep it close and then the Giants just find a way.
01:54So, I mean, yeah, I unfortunately got nothing in this game because I just, it's no man's land with the Braves right now. This team is just all over the place.
02:03All right. And of course, we've got great matchup tonight between the Red Sox and Yankees with the Yankees minus 178 on the money line.
02:11Not primary pitchers for either team tonight.
02:13You know, Walker Buehler has been disappointing to me. I don't know, Danny, something about that blue season led me to believe that a big season was on the way with him with the rest.
02:23This hasn't been the case. So let me guess how this game is going to go.
02:26Seventh inning, tied at four, one team scores a run and wins. This has been the Red Sox season, Danny, at this point.
02:34It really has. You know, the way you put it about Walker Buehler, I literally was looking at his numbers today.
02:40I was going, man, he's just been underwhelming. I mean, I agree with you.
02:43The disappointment is there. It's not like he's been bad per se, but it's just not what you were expecting when you get a pitcher to the caliber of Walker Buehler.
02:52444 ERA. His FIP is at 473. High home run to fly ball ratio of 17%. And that certainly can't help him in this series against the Yankees at Yankees Stadium.
03:04Not really striking out a lot of batters either. So you're certainly not getting the best of Buehler.
03:09And I think that's what makes the Yankees attractive. And knowing how my run line bets have gone this year, where a lot of them have fallen on one, you're probably right.
03:16It will end up being a one run game. But I did take the Yankees on the run line here because I didn't want to lay that steep price in that minus 170 range.
03:24But I think the Yankees are the right side. Warren's ERA is scary. Don't get me wrong.
03:28But his underlying metrics indicate he should be bouncing back in the right direction. 308 XFIP. His expected ERA is 382.
03:37He's walking over four batters per nine inning. But what he's doing is kind of keeping that ground ball rate high enough at 44% to where Boston's bats are kind of limited to a certain degree.
03:47I think the Yankees can put enough damage on Walker Buehler and then get to the Red Sox bullpen eventually here.
