00:00We have some breaking news coming for you within the story, the Karnataka killer stampede that
00:05took place in Bengaluru. Now, cops hunt down RCB bash event organizers. Cops have arrested the
00:11RCB marketing head, Nikhil Sosale. Nikhil arrested while leaving for Mumbai is what we are picking
00:18up. Event management co-DNA staffers detained as well. DNA staffers being grilled by the cops at
00:26this given point of time. Karnataka Cricket Association Secretary Shankar and Treasurer
00:31Jairam seem to be absconding. Police reached their houses as well, but could not find them. These
00:38are the latest details in terms of action being taken within the Karnataka stampede case that we
00:46have been following. Now, Anaga Kesav joins us from Bengaluru at this given point to throw some more
00:52light. Anaga, very good morning to you. What are you picking up from the ground with regards to
00:57these very developments at this point?
01:03Well, good morning to you as well. In fact, RCB's marketing head, Nikhil Sosale, has been arrested
01:08by the police while he was at the Mumbai airport. He was flying out and that's when Nikhil Sosale has
01:14been arrested by the police. In Bengaluru, we have the DNA Entertainment Network's staff members also
01:20being grilled by Bengaluru's Sheshadaripuram police. I just want to read out a few names.
01:24Three staff members from DNA, Kiran Sumant and Sunil Matthew, have been detailed by the police.
01:30In fact, the interrogation is underway at the Kabban Park police station. We believe
01:34Sheshadaripuram ACP Prakash is interrogating them. In fact, remember yesterday, FIR was filed against the
01:41RCB team, the same DNA networks, the Cricket Association and few others, you know, over,
01:47you know, putting the lives of acts of people at risk. And now we have the DNA members being
01:52grilled by the Bengaluru police. Nikhil Sosale, who's the RCB's marketing head, being arrested by
01:57the police. And in fact, you know, even the Cricket Association members, when the police went to their
02:03home to arrest them, we believe they've absconded from the spot. They're not really there. Mr. Jairam and
02:09Shankar, who are the top office bearers of Karnataka's Cricket Association, cases have been booked
02:15against that association. At the moment, they're absconding. But very soon, we believe that the
02:20police will be catching hold of them as well. Right, Anika, so at this given point, I would say
02:26it looks like the blame has completely been shifted to the Cricket Association as well as the RCB.
02:34Well, that's right. In fact, you know, all these days we had the blame game take place. One, you know,
02:45one passing the blame on the other. In fact, yesterday, the government has suspended Bengaluru's
02:50top police commissioner, B. Dayanand, along with DCP Central and IPS officers and, you know, ACPs as well.
02:58You know, a lot of police officers have also been suspended out of dereliction of duty. In fact,
03:04we're reporting from outside Home Minister's house. The new police commissioner, Simant Kumar,
03:08came here and met with Home Minister Parameshwar. That's the action that's taken by the government
03:12suspension of police officers. But many questions have been raised as to whether the police became
03:18the scapegoats at the end of the day. Because remember, police had not given green signal for the
03:22victory parade or for the celebrations. The police had given a strict no, but we believe,
03:27in written form, it wasn't given. It was RCB team that jumped the gun and tweeted the next day.
03:33So that's why a lot of, you know, support is growing louder for B. Dayanand, the former
03:38Bangalore police commissioner, saying that at the end of the day, the ministers have escaped,
03:43you know, those who are in power have escaped. But the police officer have become scapegoats,
03:48despite refusing to give a go-ahead for the victory parade. That's the kind of support calls
03:54growing louder for police officers condemning their suspension. Calls are, in fact, growing louder
04:00to, you know, for those who are in power to, you know, to take accountability of this.
04:05Right. Absolutely. It seems like at this given point, the other stakeholders have completely,
04:10you're also responsible for this entire situation, having panned out, have been completely absolved
04:15of any blame or accountability. Thank you so much for bringing us all those details.
