US House Speaker Mike Johnson says Elon Musk is "flat wrong" for opposing President Donald Trump's sweeping agenda bill after the billionaire called it a "disgusting abomination."

Johnson also says the president "is not delighted" by Musk's sudden reversal, noting that the tech mogul had previously expressed support for Republican control of the House.

00:22One of the many reasons for President Trump's desk as quickly as possible to sign it.

00:27Look, let me just address the Elon controversy and tell you that I consider Elon a friend.

00:33He's obviously brilliant.

00:36I just told you we credit him with all the big changes with Doge and everything else.

00:40It's curious to me what happened this week.

00:42We had a great, it was a very friendly, very fruitful conversation together.

00:45And he and I talked about the midterm elections, and he said, I'm going to help.

00:49We've got to make sure that the Republicans keep the House majority.

00:52We can't have the president impeached, which is what the Democrats would do on day one, as we all well know.

00:56And we've got to continue this.

00:58The Trump administration needs four years to do all this reform, not two years.

01:02Elon and I left on a great note.

01:04We were texting one another, you know, happy text, you know, Monday.

01:07And then yesterday, you know, 24 hours later, he does a 180, and he comes out and opposed the bill.

01:13And it surprised me, frankly.

01:14And I don't take it personal.

01:48But I look forward to talking to my friend about it again, and I'm not upset about it, all right?

What Elon is doing right now is doing more damage to Tesla than working for Trump ever did. I am so disappointed in him. After 4 years of Joe I think of what Kamala (4 more years of Joe) would've done to our country and I find myself kinda glad she lost and I find myself a lot more forgiving when it comes to Trump. It's been tough on me, I'm a senior and yeah I lost money too, but it's like this...when you pray for rain...you gotta deal with some mud. If Musk woulda kept his cool Trump would've found a way to take care of him (narcissists look out for each other) but instead he choose acting like a spoiled little kid and now Trump is thinking about canceling some government contracts he does have right now, the media is having a field day with him and Tesla stocks are down almost 15%. Sometimes the smartest people make the dumbest choices.
