00:12for their commitment to democracy following today's election of Lee Jae-myung.
00:18Like us, people of South Korea have witnessed the mortal danger to democracy posed by lies,
00:24by corruption, by illegal actions directed by those at the very top.
00:28But the Korean people responded with courage and defended their democracy
00:33through peaceful civil disobedience, through lawful impeachment,
00:38and now through a free and fair election.
00:41They have shown strength, unity, and a dedication to the rule of law
00:45in a way that the rest of the world could do well to emulate.
00:50So, to the citizens of South Korea, the people of the free world salute you.
