00:00The guys behind The Witcher franchise just showed us some brand new footage for The Witcher 4,

00:04and while it looked absolutely amazing and everyone is flipping out,

00:07there were some important things people completely missed about this reveal.

00:10So, let's break it down.

00:12First and foremost, I cannot stretch it enough that what we have seen was running in 60 FPS

00:16on a base PlayStation 5 with ray tracing on,

00:19but it was not necessary gameplay from The Witcher 4.

00:22As confirmed multiple times by the developers,

00:24the footage was specifically designed for the Unreal Tech demo

00:28and might not by any means reflect on the finished product.

00:31This could be similar to early Cyberpunk previews

00:33that showed off a lot more density in the city than in the actual game.

00:37And while the game might or might not look worse than this reveal,

00:40the purpose was to feature the vision of the development team and the target they want to reach.

00:44It's super stunning as it is,

00:46and today's tech definitely can make such a lofty vision possible,

00:49but nothing is guaranteed, so don't get your hopes up too high.

00:52I would at least expect parts of the wonderful-looking town

00:55and its surroundings becoming part of the final game.
