00:00And Dr. Eli, UN Secretary General has called for an independent investigation into the killing of Palestinians near an aid distribution center in Gaza.
00:12As we said, third day that this has happened is something that we're seeing on a regular basis now.
00:20But do you honestly think this is enough right now for the people who need food and are in desperate, desperate need?
00:26Definitely not enough. Condemnation is not enough. But also practically what's happening in Gaza, as we've said over and over again, is not feasible.
00:34What the Israelis are hoping to do with that organization, the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation, is simply not feasible.
00:40The whole infrastructure is not there. The whole setup is not there.
00:45And then you are doing it by force, by military force, putting people in queues between bars and then moving them from the north all the way to the south to get the aid and so on.
00:54It's all fueled by political tension. On the other hand, you have people who are hungry, who are desperate, who are waiting for this package to save the livelihood of their children.
01:06It simply cannot be done like that. Now, what can the UN do?
01:09Unfortunately, the UN Secretary General can only condemn, but also he can do all the diplomatic work with other countries.
01:16We've seen other countries starting to move on, really putting pressure on Israel to change the way it's approaching all of that.
01:23But we have to see how much Israel can take the pressure and start to actually think about other alternatives on how to deliver and how frequently to deliver the aid that is coming into Gaza.
01:34Otherwise, it's going to continue like that.
