00:00Can I just start by asking you, sir, for your reaction to what's happened in Gaza during the course of the last 24 hours?

00:08Well, my concern is, of course, for the people who are either killed, but particularly those who are left and who are suffering,

00:16and for all the vulnerable people, and indeed for those who are continuing to try to survive,

00:21given the inadequacy of the amount of food and life-sustaining materials that are getting into the Gaza Strip,

00:29and particularly being required to attend to the south, even if you happen to be past the central or the north,

00:37you are being required to move south in order to get anything or any chance of anything.

00:41It's particularly troubling for all of us who are seeing these shots on television when you see the children so desperate,

00:48let alone those scrambling for food, but the absolutely emaciated pictures of children in hospitals.

00:55Of course, it troubles us all.
