00:00No one noticed that in the last second before his death, Jonathan Joss saved his husband Tristan
00:04Kern de Gonzalez's life with just one action. Jonathan's home was set on fire by neighbor
00:09Sayo. Three pet dogs were killed in the fire, and the entire house was reduced to ruins. His
00:14husband Gonzalez cried on Facebook that Joss used his last bit of strength to push him away. He
00:19didn't even realize where the sound came from, and thus barely escaped death. When they returned to
00:23the ruins to collect fire disaster relief funds, they found the skull of their pet dog deliberately
00:28placed in a prominent position at the doorstep. As they hugged each other and wept, their neighbor
00:33approached step by step, shouting abusive words. The neighbor Sayo then directly pulled out a
00:38dangerous weapon and aimed at them. At the critical moment, Joss pushed Gonzalez away, saving his life
00:43but exposing himself to danger and unfortunately losing his own. Gonzalez insists this was a hate
00:48crime targeting their sexual orientation. He revealed that the couple had long faced anonymous
00:53threats, even receiving a text message before the fire that read, gays deserve to die. However,
00:57police statements claim no evidence has been found linking his death to these factors. It seems
01:02things are not so simple.
