00:00Welcome to Beyond the Blueprint. Today, we're exploring one of India's most ambitious
00:05infrastructure projects, the Delhi-Amedabad High-Speed Rail Corridor. Designed to revolutionize
00:12travel between the national capital and Gujarat's commercial hub, this bullet train aims to
00:17significantly reduce journey times and boost regional development. Let's delve into the
00:22project's details, current status as of May 2025, and its future prospects. The Delhi-Amedabad
00:30High-Speed Rail Corridor, DAHSR, is a proposed 886-kilometers high-speed rail line connecting
00:37Delhi to Amedabad, traversing key cities in Haryana, Rajasthan, and Gujarat. Designed for speeds up to
00:44320 kilometers per hour, the corridor aims to reduce travel time from the current 12 hours to
00:50approximately 3.5 hours. The route includes 15 stations, starting from Dvarka Sector 21 in Delhi
00:57and culminating in Amedabad, with stops in cities like Gurgan, Riwari, Jaipur, and Udaipur. The
01:05project will feature a combination of elevated, underground, and grade-separated tracks, utilizing
01:10the E5-series Shinkansen rolling stock. As of May 2025, the DAHSR project has made significant progress,
01:19detailed project report, DPR completed and approved by Indian Railways in April 2024.
01:26Land acquisition, currently underway, with efforts to minimize delays by aligning the route alongside
01:32existing railway lines and highways. Construction timeline, pending final approvals, construction is
01:39anticipated to commence in the latter half of the 2020s, with completion aimed for 2031. The project is
01:47managed by the National High-Speed Rail Corporation Limited, NHSRCL, which also oversees the Mumbai,
01:53Amedabad High-Speed Rail Corridor. The DAHSR corridor's alignment is strategically planned to enhance
02:00connectivity and minimize land acquisition challenges. Delhi, originates at Dvarka Sector 21,
02:06moving through Gurgan. Haryana, passes through Riwari and Narnal. Rajasthan, continues through Jaipur and
02:14Nudaipur. Gujarat, enters via Himatnagar, terminating in Amedabad. This alignment leverages
02:22existing transportation corridors to streamline construction and reduce environmental impact.
02:28Key technical aspects of the DAHSR project include. Train type, E5-series Shinkansen,
02:35known for their safety and efficiency. Electrification, 25 kVAC, 50 Hz, overhead catenary system.
02:45Track design, standard gauge tracks with a combination of elevated and underground sections
02:50to navigate urban and geographical constraints. These specifications are designed to ensure high-speed,
02:57reliable, and safe travel for passengers. The DAHSR is a critical component of India's broader
03:04high-speed rail ambitions. Extension of Mumbai, Amedabad Corridor. Upon completion,
03:10it will connect seamlessly with the Mumbai, Amedabad high-speed rail, facilitating rapid travel between
03:16Delhi and Mumbai. Part of Diamond Quadrilateral, this project contributes to the envisioned high-speed
03:22rail network connecting Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, and Kolkata. Such integration is poised to enhance
03:29economic ties and mobility across major urban centers. While promising, the DAHSR project faces
03:37several challenges. Land acquisition, securing land across multiple states requires careful
03:42negotiation and compensation strategies. Environmental clearances, navigating ecological concerns and obtaining
03:50necessary approvals can be time-consuming. Funding, mobilizing the substantial investment needed
03:56for such a large-scale project. To address these, authorities are engaging in stakeholder consultations,
04:03exploring public-private partnerships, and aligning the route with existing infrastructure
04:08to minimize disruptions. Looking ahead, the DAHSR corridor is expected to
04:14boost economic growth, enhance trade and commerce between northern and western India,
04:20promote sustainable travel, offer a greener alternative to air and road transport,
04:25catalyze urban development, stimulate growth in cities along the corridor.
04:31With meticulous planning and execution, the DAHSR is set to become a cornerstone of India's
04:37transportation landscape. The Delhi, Amedabad high-speed rail corridor represents a significant
04:43leap forward in India's infrastructure development. By connecting major economic hubs with cutting-edge
04:49technology, it promises to transform travel and stimulate growth. Stay tuned to Beyond the
04:56Blueprint for more updates on this and other transformative projects. If you found this video
