01:05This is a story from a long long time ago in Nottingham, England,
01:23when Prince Richard ruled the country.
01:26His younger brother Prince John was a wicked prince
01:34who took care of the state while the king was away for wars.
01:40Prince John was unkind to common people of Nottingham
01:44and had no consideration for the poor.
01:48Under his charge, the rich became richer
01:59while the poor became poorer.
02:06The poor had no saviour to save them other than Robin Hood
02:11or the hooded thief as he was popularly known.
02:21Robin Hood had a trusted companion called Little John.
02:41Robin Hood would rob the rich merchants
02:54and the princess caravans that carried the huge taxes collected from the poor
03:07as they crossed the sharewood forest which was the home of Robin Hood
03:13on the way to the Prince's treasury.
03:20And he would distribute the loot amongst the poor.
03:25His generosity earned him the name Prince of Thieves amongst the common people.
03:32And also many rewards that were announced by the sheriff for his capture.
03:47But this did not stop Robin from doing his good deeds.
03:56One day when Robin Hood and his friends
03:59had robbed the prince's caravan again,
04:02the prince called the sheriff of Nottingham to the palace.
04:07This is the last time Robin Hood has humiliated my men and me, Sheriff.
04:14What are your troops doing?
04:16Why haven't they caught that thief as yet?
04:20We are doing everything, your highness.
04:22I assure you, we will have him soon.
04:25You should, otherwise someone else will be punished.
04:42The sheriff made a new plan with his men.
04:45He decided to announce an archery competition to be held in Nottingham.
04:50And the winner would be announced as the best archer in Nottingham.

06:29He took the first shot at the board and hit Bullseye.
06:34The crowd cheered for this unknown archer.
06:38Then he took another arrow and shot it again.
06:44This one too hit Bullseye.

06:47The crowd cheered louder.
06:50The cheering caught the sheriff's attention.
06:53And he turned to see what the matter was.
06:58By now Robin had drawn his third arrow and took a shot.
07:06It too hit the Bullseye.
07:08When the fourth arrow also did the same, the sheriff realized something.
07:20That is no stranger.
07:22That is Robin Hood.
07:24No one can shoot four arrows in a row like that.
07:28Grab him men!
07:29The whole crowd broke into a frenzy as the sheriff's men arrested Robin Hood.
07:44Off with his head!
07:49But Little John moved like a lightning flash and grabbed the Prince and put a knife to his throat.
08:08Release him immediately!
08:10The sheriff's men had no choice except to let go of Robin Hood.
08:18The Prince of Thiefs and his friends hollered and made their way out of the archery field.
08:23But not before Robin Hood climbed the audience tower and stole a kiss from the maiden Marion.
08:31Back at the Sherwood Forest, Robin Hood and his friends got together and celebrated.
08:55You were right Robin Hood.
08:57Today was a lot of fun.
08:59The sheriff had this coming.
09:02I am sure you surprised Maiden Marion too.
09:06Well, not as surprised as the Prince is going to be when he finds out that we stole four bags of gold from his treasury during the sheriff's archery competition.
