00:16I have just stepped into the future

00:18Here, in this city that seems designed by the most ambitious imagination,

00:24technological advancement is not a promise,

00:26it is a tangible reality that is already shaping our present.

00:31At Huawei's annual exhibition,

00:33the Chinese technology giant showed how it is redefining the world,

00:37from the way companies operate,

00:39to how governments manage their services,

00:41and of course, how journalism is done.

00:44One of the tools that most impacted me was Pangas 5.0,

00:48an artificial intelligence application native to Spanish and Portuguese

00:51that works as a writing assistant.

00:53It researches, summarizes, writes, and helps organize ideas.

00:58It even allows you to create avatars capable of interacting with users,

01:03simulating interviews with historical figures in almost real-life settings.

01:07I also witnessed the operation of integrated mobile offices

01:10for live broadcasts from anywhere in the world

01:13without major technical deployments,

01:16and platforms that automate tasks such as fact-checking,

01:19summary creation, or complex data analysis in seconds.

01:22I particularly highlight Data Art Studio,

01:25a cloud-based tool that cross-references public information,

01:28social media, and statistics to reveal patterns,

01:31cases of corruption, or social movements hidden from the naked eye.

01:35It's already in use in Brazil

01:37and represents a powerful tool for investigative journalism.

01:41Another fascinating advancement

01:42was the use of augmented reality to tell stories in an immersive way.

01:46We witnessed a recreation of the history of Machu Picchu

01:50with three-dimensional avatars and immersive narratives,

01:54and we learned about AI applications that adapt news to formats like TikTok

01:59using avatars that connect with younger audiences.

02:02But beyond the amazement, there is one conclusion worth its weight in gold.

02:08Technology doesn't replace journalists.

02:11It liberates them.

02:12It takes the burden off repetitive tasks

02:14so you can focus on what's essential,

02:17thinking, questioning, investigating, and moving.

02:20Huawei showcased a new universe of possibilities,

02:22not just in chips or cloud systems,

02:25but in tools that can restore depth, diversity, and sustainability to journalism.

02:29Innovations applied to smart cities like Shangri-La Nanshan,

02:34where the fair was held, were also on display,

02:37as well as advances such as the digital citizen identity model in Brazil and Mexico,

02:43which allows transactions to be completed simply by scanning a QR code.

02:47This journey wasn't just geographical, it was a leap into the future.

02:52The challenge ahead is immense, but also inspiring.

02:56To understand, adopt, and master these tools

02:58without losing the essence of our mission,

03:00the future has already begun,

03:03and we, journalists, must tread firmly on it.
