00:00We're on our penultimate day of Land's End to Cranbrook, which has been 256 miles from the very tip of Cornwall to Cranbrook, where we're going to build a brand new church.
00:11And today we've got Mike, Bishop Mike, from Exeter joining us. Why have you decided to join me for, I don't know, 12 miles per day?
00:19Well, A, I think it's a brilliant idea, raising money. We're absolutely committed to seeing this church in Cranbrook.
00:26It's a really new community, 13 years old about, I think, John, and it needs community facilities, needs a church there.
00:34And this is one way in which you're raising money for it.
00:38I also, I have to say, John, I love walking. 256 miles, no, but 11 miles today, lovely.
00:46So really looking forward to it. But how have you found it?
00:48I've loved it, actually. I've genuinely enjoyed all 230-odd miles I've done so far.
00:55The knee's been a bit wobbly. The shins are a little bit sore, but 20-odd miles left. I can't not finish now.
01:04And the thought of a barbecue tomorrow afternoon is perfect.
01:09Great. And you've been joined by people on the way, I believe.
01:11Yeah, we've had lots of people on route. Friends from primary school, our old vicar from London.
01:17We've had lots of members of our church join us on the route, and that's just been so encouraging.
01:24And I've got to say, the cake that they have made, I thought I was going to lose weight on this walk, but I've definitely not lost any weight.
01:31The cake has been incredible. So you get to sample some of that today, which is good.
