00:54Well, honestly, it means a lot, especially now, because, you know, like, last couple of weeks were a bit rough for me.
01:05I couldn't find myself on court. I felt a little bit flat, like the lack of emotions and stuff, just, you know, I would say felt little signs of burnout or something like that.
01:19So, yeah, I'm really happy that I got back on track here at Roland Garros, one of my favourite tournaments, and, you know, playing much better, feeling much better on court.
01:30I think that's the most important. And, you know, getting these wins, it's, yeah, super important to me, especially now.
01:40Congratulations. What is it about Roland Garros that suits you? I think it's a 24th win out of 33 matches or something here.
01:49Well, I don't know, honestly. First of all, the courts here are amazing. Honestly, one of my, like, favourite courts. They're, like, super good quality, like, the atmosphere.
02:00And I just know that this tournament's so well. I've been here, like, I played a couple of times as a junior. I won here as a junior.
02:07And, you know, like, when this happens, it just stays forever in you, and just automatically the place becomes special.
02:17And then, you know, playing, I don't know, I think it's my 10th professional Roland Garros.
02:22So, you know, it's been a history. So, and I, every time I'm coming here, I feel comfortable.
02:28I know every corner of the stadium and stuff. So, I mean, I think it's important.
02:35And I don't know how it works, honestly, on a spiritual level.
02:39But somehow, yes, it's, this place, it's been always nice to me.
02:46Congratulations.
02:46You're such a complete player, and sometimes it looks like the emotions are a little difficult to handle.
02:53But what do you think the top 10 players are handling better than you, or you can improve to get on this truck?
03:02Well, you know, there is only 10 spots in top 10.
03:09So, and we have a bunch of very good players nowadays.
03:14So, it's, sometimes it's not just about you, but about the other players as well, you know, performing a bit better.
03:22Honestly, like, the 10 is, it's a mental game, because at the end, yes, someone can hit a forehand or backhand better than you.
03:29But at the end of the day, everything, like, comes to mentality, and, you know, this fighting experience, and who manage the nurse, and, you know, this, the thoughts during the match better.
03:44Well, honestly, I've been in top 10, like, a few times.
03:49So, I know this feeling, and I know more or less what you need to be there.
03:56It's to, in my case, it's to be super consistent mentally and physically every single week, which is not easy, honestly, because it's, we, I mean, we have a lot of tournaments in the different countries, you know, the jet lags, the, but just everything.
04:12Sometimes you just wake up, and you don't feel the ball, you know.
04:15Sometimes you wake up sick.
04:16So, you know, life happens.
04:19So, at the end, it's just, I think it's important to stay always positive, because it's very easy to get on the wrong track, to, you know, go downhill when you are losing a couple of matches, and then you feel that you're so bad and stuff.
04:36This is very easy to, you know, get in the hole, and very difficult to get out of it.
04:40So, I think it's important to always stay on this right path and work hard, of course.
04:48Darragh, how do you get on with Mira?
04:51Is she somebody that...
04:53I hate her.
04:55No, I'm kidding.
04:56Is she somebody that you've helped, actually, during your career, helped her progress?
05:03Me?
05:03Any way, she can perform?
05:05The only thing I'm helping her, it's to get on the vlog.
05:08No, honestly, I mean, Mira, it's, she's a very nice girl and an amazing player.
05:13I mean, we've been, like, quite good with each other.
05:19I can't even say that I think we're kind of friends.
05:22So, yeah, she's super young and super talented, so she already achieved a lot of things.
05:30And we're going to have just, I think, the second match.
05:32We practiced so many times, and we're going to play a second match of our career.
05:36So, let's see.
05:39The last one in Ningbo was a big drama match.
05:43Let's see what's going to happen here.
05:44We never met on clay before.
05:46So, yeah, looking forward to this.
05:49It's going to be fun, I guess.
05:50Just also wondering about when you were talking about feeling a slightly, you know,
05:54a little bit of burnout in the last few weeks.
05:57Alex de Manor, your now counterpart as the men's number one in Australia,
06:02was talking about exactly that the other day.
06:04Is it something that concerns you often, or is it most of the time you just brush it off?
06:14Well, honestly, I mean, in this one, I was agree with Alex,
06:18because our schedule is pretty rough.
06:21I mean, it's, you know, we have a completely packed schedule.
06:26There's no spot for anything.
06:27So, it's, I mean, it's not normal, but I think it can happen that the person who is traveling all around the world,
06:37all the time giving their best, you know, living a life of a tennis player,
06:40sometimes can feel this feeling that he's tired,
06:44that sometimes you are just not super excited to go on court.
06:48I mean, this can happen.
06:50This is, you know, our job.
06:53And I think everyone can relate that sometimes you don't want to wake up to go to your job.
06:58So, yeah.
07:00I mean, we are super lucky we are having, you know, this opportunity to, you know,
07:05do what we love and get paid for it and travel, like, around the world.
07:09And it's a nice life.
07:11But sometimes this also happens that, you know, when you give everything to something,
07:18sometimes you can have these things that you are tired and you need some rest.
07:24So, yeah.
07:25It's normal.
07:26We are all humans.
07:27This can happen.
07:30Dasa, what do you have to do against Mira when you come up against her?
07:37And she was just, she said that you had also practiced already in the tournament here.
07:44And she was also asked what she thought of your interviewing skills.
07:50Oh, what she said.
07:52Was not impressed.
07:54So, any response?
07:55I was right.
07:56I hate her.
08:00Well, she is not the one to talk about it because actually she had the opportunity
08:05to interview players in our ROM vlog.
08:09So, she took the camera and she went to talk with someone in the restaurant.
08:14It was terrible.
08:16Okay.
08:17So, she...
08:18And also the filming skills were, like, not on point.
08:22So, she needs to learn.
08:25I thought because also I saw, like, she, I think, bought the camera.
08:28Also, and she is now trying to film something.
08:32So, yeah.
08:33I wish her good luck, especially in editing.
08:36I want to see how she's going to do that.
08:40But, I mean, as you guys understood, this is the way we communicate with Mira.
08:44You know, we're just giving little shit to each other all the time and just joking around.
08:49I mean, it has nothing to do with...
08:51It's just the way we communicate.
08:55We are very good with each other.
08:56We were having the ice bath together right now, like, a couple of hours ago after the match.
09:02So, yeah.
09:05But, I think I have to improve my interviewing skills.
09:09So, it's okay.
09:10I will work on it.
09:12And what do you have to do in the match?
09:14In the match, I have to run a lot.
09:16It's going to be a long rally.
09:18You know, Mira, she is not giving anything for free.
09:21So, you know, to get every point, I'll have to die on court.
09:26I'm ready for that.
09:28This is what I'm working for.
09:29You know, I'm going to be a long rally.
09:35I'm going to be a long rally.
09:36I'm going to be a long rally.
09:37I'm going to be a long rally.
09:38I'm going to be a long rally.
09:39I'm going to be a long rally.
09:40I'm going to be a long rally.
09:41I'm going to be a long rally.
09:42I'm going to be a long rally.
09:43I'm going to be a long rally.
09:44I'm going to be a long rally.
09:45I'm going to be a long rally.
09:46I'm going to be a long rally.
09:47I'm going to be a long rally.
09:48I'm going to be a long rally.
09:49I'm going to be a long rally.
09:50I'm going to be a long rally.
09:51I'm going to be a long rally.
09:52I'm going to be a long rally.
