00:00We do understand the environmental impacts of these products,
00:03but I don't actually think that what the government is doing this weekend
00:08is actually going to have a huge impact on that.
00:11I say that because what's important here is to change consumers' behaviour,
00:16and nothing in this bill changes that.
00:19So the devices themselves, because of legislation, are going to look very similar to a consumer.
00:24But is that consumer going to change and recycle that device? I don't think so.
00:29I'm actually worried about a few things, because we think this is going to fuel the black market,
00:34because one of the things the government didn't do is they didn't ban the importation of these products.
00:39So consumers can still buy them online, on the internet.
00:43Distributors that are not so reputable can bring these products in claiming that they're going to sell them abroad,
00:50but they'll still end up, we feel, in the supply chain here.
