00:00G'day to everybody, it's a bit, we're settling down, trying to get our energy back, trying
00:05to get back into business. Just an update on the election, the Senate effort. Now what
00:13we've ended up with, there's figures all over the place, and some of the latest figures
00:18you can look up on the Australian Electoral Commission's site, just Google it. What it
00:23works out to be is that we've got seventh out of the parties that run here. Some people
00:29say it's a 55 percent increase on what we did. What matters most to me is that the
00:34faces of people, all the different communities that we went through right
00:39around the up and down Queensland. From here up to the Wyvern up in the Straits, the
00:46feedback that we've got it was really people starting to own the process and
00:52and wanting to be a part of the process. The main thing I guess is that where we
00:59go with it and where people take it. There's a hundred and fifty thousand
01:04black pollas in in Queensland, so those hundred and fifty thousand black pollas,
01:10it depends on what we do with it and how we motivate our mob to be enrolled to vote,
01:18how we motivate our mob to turn up, how we start getting parties, how we start
01:25getting branches in different areas and special thanks to all the mob out at
01:30Cullamulla, Toowoomba, the crew that worked tirelessly around Brisbane metropolitan area,
01:37the old brother up at Bribey Island, the new brother and other John out at Mount Isa,
01:44the people in Townsville, Ashley and people on Palm, especially the mob out at Warrabinda and
01:51the Cairns crew that turned up and so it was a good slog, it was a great effort, there was a lot
02:01of people that missed out and but you know that we can fix that up next time and we can get going next
02:08time and you know I've already used the example that we're only operating on one cylinder out of the four
02:16cylinders in a motor so we've still got a lot of improvement to do, so that's where we're at,
02:22we've been encouraging people to things to become members, get the membership drive, keep communicating
02:29and we've got three years to the next one, we've got to get people people on board,
02:35yeah let's make it so, three years to go.
