Synopsis:
One day in class, the protagonist, a devoted oldies fan, meets a girl Katherine and is immediately smitten. However, he soon discovers she is a lover of pop music──a genre he has never given a chance to. With the help from his friend, the protagonist sets out to expand his musical horizons. Will his newfound appreciation for pop music be enough to win Katherine’s heart, or will their different tastes keep them apart?

Artists’ statement:
When listening to music, people love to put themselves in the position of what the lyrics depict. With certain songs, we share similar pictures in our mind──and that is how we resonate through music. “Silly Love Songs” is about realising the imagination particular songs give us. Packaged as a love story, the film is our attempt to produce a comedy based on this “relatability” of music.
