00:00On a day-to-day basis, I hear Israeli politicians openly calling for starvation and then, of course, denying that they're starving people.
00:07I hear on a day-to-day basis them calling for Gaza we burned.
00:12We just heard a member of the Knesset, the parliament, say this just a few weeks ago and did not get any consternation.
00:20There was no condemnation in the Knesset for saying so.
00:22On a daily basis, I hear cultural figures, public figures talking about how Palestinians should be starved, how there are no innocents, how even children are legitimate targets.
00:33But, of course, this is not the conversation that I want to be having with my friends in Gaza because I don't want them to feel that the world has abandoned them.
00:42They already feel as though the world has abandoned them.
00:45So sometimes I do tell them the truth, but it's always a truth that I try to kind of soften because I don't want people in Gaza to feel the wrath that I live on a day-to-day basis of Israelis who are openly calling for genocide, who are openly saying that it's okay to kill kids.
01:06And it's such a devastating place to be living in and such a devastating mindset that you see people, whether they're young or old, thinking that it's okay to carry out genocide and that it's legitimate to do so.
