00:00I would remind the gentlemen this bill will kick 404,000 people in Ohio off their health
00:05insurance.
00:06I now yield one minute to the gentlewoman from Washington as a distinguished member
00:11of the Budget Committee, Ms. Jayapal.
00:12The gentlelady is recognized for one minute.
00:15Thank you, Mr. Speaker.
00:16This bill is a massive betrayal of working people and poor people across America.
00:23It strips at least 14 million Americans of their health care.
00:28It slashes food for the hungry, and it cuts basic needs for Americans across the country.
00:36And why?
00:37So that you can give a $5 trillion tax break to the wealthiest billionaires like Elon Musk.
00:45If you had a giant corporate lobby outside, you get a tax break.
00:50If you're in the top .1 percent, .1 of 1 percent of billionaires, you get a $398,000 tax break.
01:01If you're a millionaire, you get an average $83,000 tax break.
01:05But if you're a working person or a poor person, you are SOL.
01:10You get kicked off your health care.
01:12You don't get the $2 a meal in SNAP benefits.
01:17And you get hungrier, you get poorer, you get sicker.
01:20And here's the thing.
01:21If you're so proud about this bill, why are we debating it at 1 o'clock in the morning,
01:263 o'clock in the morning?
01:27Why are these schedules getting rigged so that people don't actually get to see what we are
01:32doing here in this chamber?
01:34I yield back.
01:35I'm a hell no.
