00:00Imagine living every day with fear and uncertainty. This is the reality for 110,000 refugees in
00:06Pakistan. According to the UNHCR, approximately 110,000 refugees and asylum seekers in Pakistan
00:14are identified as having high risk profiles. This includes women and girls at risk of gender-based
00:20violence, unaccompanied minors, survivors of torture and those with serious medical conditions.
00:25In April 2025 alone, more than 144,500 individuals returned to Afghanistan from Pakistan,
00:34with nearly 30,000 deported, and, including returns from Iran, over 300,000 people arrived
00:40in Afghanistan that month. This massive return is putting extreme pressure on Afghanistan's
00:45already struggling regions and urban areas. Amidst persistent drought, internal displacements
00:51and worsening economic conditions, the need for coordinated international efforts has never
00:57been greater. We must ensure access to humanitarian aid, legal protection and find durable solutions,
01:04like voluntary repatriation or resettlement. The time for action is now.
