00:00On May 23rd, 2025, Bollywood actor Mukul Dev passed away in Delhi at the age of 54.

00:07He had been admitted to the intensive care unit at a private hospital after a week of illness.

00:13His condition worsened and despite all efforts, he couldn't be saved.

00:17Born in Delhi on September 17th, 1970, Mukul was known for his powerful screen presence

00:22and versatility. Before acting, he trained as a pilot, but his passion led him to the

00:28world of cinema and television. He began his acting career in 1996 with the TV show Mumkin.

00:34That same year, he made his film debut opposite Sushmita Sen in Dastak.

00:39Over nearly three decades, Mukul left his mark across Hindi, Punjabi and South Indian films.

00:45His performances in movies like Yamla Pagla Devana, Son of Sardar, Koram, Jaiho and R. Rajkumar

00:52were widely appreciated. He was also a familiar face on television with shows like Gharwali

00:57Uparwali, Kashish and Shhh, Fir Koi Hai. In 2014, he was honoured with the 7th Amrish Puri Award

01:04for Excellence in Acting. Friends remember him as someone full of life, deeply emotional

01:09and very private. After the loss of his parents and separation from his daughter, Mukul became

01:15reclusive, his friends said. Though he didn't speak openly about his health, he had reportedly

01:20been battling physical and emotional struggles for some time. He had recently completed shooting

01:25for Son of Sardar 2, which will now be his final film.

01:29On May 24, 2025, his last rites were performed at Dayanand Mukti Dham in Nizamuddin, West Delhi.
