00:00U.S. President Donald Trump said he is not happy with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
00:07He spoke in reaction to Russia's wave of deadly strikes on Ukraine over the weekend.
00:12When Trump was asked by a reporter if he was thinking about imposing new sanctions on Russia,
00:19the U.S. leader said he would absolutely consider doing so.
00:24I'm not happy with what Putin's doing. He's killing a lot of people and I don't know what the hell happened to Putin.
00:30I've known him a long time, always gotten along with him, but he's sending rockets into cities and killing people and I don't like it at all.
00:39Trump also spoke on tariffs and said he would delay the implementation of a 50% tax on goods from the European Union.
00:47After a call with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, the U.S. President said he would extend the deadline from June 1st until July 9th.
01:02There have been emotional scenes in Ukraine and Russia as the two countries completed the exchange of 1,000 prisoners each.
01:08The three-day swap, the largest since the war began three years ago, started on Friday with the last 303 prisoners handed over on Sunday.
01:16It was agreed on in Istanbul earlier this month during the first face-to-face talks between the two sides since the war began.
01:22The exchange, which included civilians, has been the only concrete steps towards peace to emerge from the meeting.
01:29Just hours before the last handover, Russia hit Ukraine with a massive drone and missile assault.
01:35Russia's Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov on Friday said Moscow would present Ukraine with a draft peace agreement once the exchange was completed.
01:44Ukraine's President Vladimir Zelensky, posting on Ex on Sunday, reiterated the urgent need for a ceasefire and promised to bring every Ukrainian home.
01:52Hundreds of thousands of soldiers on both sides and tens of thousands of Ukrainian civilians are believed to have been wounded or killed in the war.
02:01At least 12 people have been killed after a massive Russian attack targeted the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv, and other regions of the country for a second consecutive night.
02:13According to Ukraine's Air Force, Russia attacked with 367 drones and missiles, making this the largest single assault of the modern three-year-long war.
02:24Several residents in Kyiv tripped out of the streets to count their losses in the aftermath.
02:29Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky condemned the attacks and urged Western partners to deliver air defense systems to protect the Ukrainian population.
02:48On Russia's side, the Defense Ministry claimed it shot down 110 Ukrainian drones overnight, with authorities forced to shut down airports across several cities, including Moscow's airport.
03:01The recent escalation in fighting and air attacks came as both sides completed the biggest prisoner exchange since the start of the war.
03:10Spain hosted European and Arab nations known as the Madrid Group for high-level talks in Madrid in an effort to pressure Israel to stop its military offensive in Gaza and move forward with a two-state solution.
03:29Spain's Minister of Foreign Affairs referred to Gaza as an open wound in humanity and emphasized that silence is not an option.

04:00All that is reassured that the group will take into account the peace and security of the people of Israel, but emphasize that the Palestinian people have the same right to such safety.
04:12The Spanish Foreign Affairs Minister also advocated for the suspension of the EU-Israel deal if Israel does not halt its military offensive in Gaza.

05:20to be able in place for fun and to be able to scare the guard with such a smart reason.

08:20and I think, how am I going to get Ryan home?
08:2317 years is a heck of a long time to stay sort of mentally strong,
08:26to believe that one day you're going to come out of there,
08:29even though your jailers are telling you every day
08:31you're never going to go out of there, which is what they do.
08:34And how is he doing, Heather, and how is he being treated?
08:37Can he tell you that or is he being listened on during these phone calls?
08:40The people that are running the prisons,
08:42they're not cruel people or anything like that,
08:44but it is a dreadful way of life, you know,
08:48you're shouted at to line up at 5.30 in the morning.
08:52You know, you get absolutely awful food,
08:56the same chicken and rice every day, six days a week,
08:59and I think aches on Friday.
09:04He hardly ever gets outside,
09:06maybe twice a month outside into fresh air.
09:08The rest of the time you're in a concrete building
09:10with steel chairs attached to the floor, steel bed,
09:14and, you know, it's lit up 24 hours, 27, you know,
09:18it's just very, very difficult conditions to deal with for a week.
09:2417 years is unbelievable, unbelievable.
09:28This Irish MEP met with Heather and Chris
09:31during their visit to Brussels.
09:34Barry Andrews has promised to raise awareness
09:36about what he calls an appalling case.
09:39The UN Human Rights Council have very clearly said
09:42that this is an injustice
09:43and he should never be locked up in the first place,
09:46never mind have his detention extended.
09:49He's now past the age of 70.
09:51The rules in Dubai is that you should be released
09:53at the age of 70, but that hasn't happened.
09:56So there's something extraordinarily punitive
09:58about this ongoing detention,
10:00and Ryan has significant medical needs
10:04that are not being met during his detention.
10:05The plight of Ryan Cornelius may be raised
10:09at the June European Parliament plenary session in Strasbourg.
10:13Maeve MacMahen, Euronews, Brussels.

10:23to its greatest champion, Rafael Nadal,

10:29that he once made his own.
10:31Retired since last November,
10:33the record 14-time French Open winner
10:35fought back tears as thousands of fans
10:38wearing orange T-shirts that said
10:40thank you, Rafa, gave him a standing ovation.
10:44Later, in a rare and historic reunion,
10:47tennis legends Novak Djokovic, Andy Murray,
10:50and Roger Federer joined him,
10:53this time in celebration, not in competition.
10:56In a tearful speech, Nadal thanked his long-time coach
10:59and uncle, Tony Nadal, his wife,
11:02as well as other loved ones that were present,
11:04reflecting the family values that have always defined him.
11:08The tribute ended with lasting symbols of his legacy,
11:12a special trophy and a surprise plaque on center court
11:17engraved with his 14 titles and his shoes' footprint,
11:22a permanent reminder of a champion
11:24who left his mark quite literally on the clay that he ruled.
