00:00And as the mandate, the consensus achieved by the foreign ministers in Langkawi early this year,

00:08I've taken the liberty also to write to President Donald J. Trump to seek his understanding to

00:15organize a U.S. ASEAN meeting, which means we observe seriously the spirit of centrality.

00:30It speaks not only to our aspirations but to our obligations.

00:35It is anchored in the conviction that ASEAN's future must rest on the twin pillars of equitable, sustainable growth and enduring resilience.

00:45Your Majesty, Excellencies, may I again reiterate my appreciation and thanks to the colleagues.

00:55When we embark on a new journey, including having to meet the various forces in Myanmar,

01:06the hospitality of Prime Minister Pai Teng Thun in Bangkok, you give me that endorsement.

01:15And following that, I gave the report informally to all leaders.

01:20When we encountered this problem with the tarif, we said proceed with bilateral meetings but retain the ASEAN consensus

01:32and without exception, all ASEAN leaders gave that tacit approval.

01:39I must truly appreciate.
