00:33I think it's like one of the key ingredients that people look for. They want somebody to make them laugh and they want to make somebody laugh.

01:05In Soap, the brilliant thing is they're exploring every kind of relationship.
01:10I think in terms of Charity and Vanessa, they're quite an obvious example of a modern day couple, aren't they?
01:16I'd say so, yeah. Some people, you know, oh, this is ridiculous. Some people, oh, I love it, one more.
01:21Yeah, where's this come from? It's ridiculous. It's ridiculous.
01:24And I quite like the fact that it's creating such a stir because these relationships that supposedly don't work but are working and everyone's nosy and going, how's that happening?
01:35But it's good for, you know, everyone at home to see that they can work and they do.

01:49I don't know what it is about that couple, I think, how much they loved each other but the amount of conflict in that relationship, all of the key ingredients that we've talked about.

02:02There's so much history with Zac and Lisa, isn't it, that I don't know anyone that doesn't love that team, that coupling.

02:16There's nothing such as normal and I think Emmerdale does its best to really kind of cover all those potential areas of families, relationships and it's a difficult thing to do but I think we do it as best as possible.
